I,m a Visual artist, part-time art teacher, my partner lives in the city of Hamilton nearby. I Live in the popular surf town of Raglan. I spend some time each year in the U.S. so I can only host people at certain times of the year.
This is an old house, and I often need some help renovating/upgrading/painting inside and out. There is a sleep- out for guests..it is funky/rustic, it is not 5 star, it is homemade, but it is private. The house is in the middle of town, v. close to the harbour and the lively cafe and bar scene.. I could also use some help maintaining the vegetable garden/compost system. I have a good kitchen, and I like to prepare fresh and healthy food..no red meat..(great fish is available from the nearby wharf). workawayers would need to share their enthusiasm for cooking . I need to learn some new dishes. Visitors should be dog friendly, and preferably non-smoking,

Raglan is a unique N.Z. town. It has a great coastline, famous surfing, and a creative entrepreneurial spirit in the township.
Travellers would learn about gardening and collaborating on creative projects, and they would be introduced to local people.

a regular bus ride takes you 1hr. to the nearest city Hamilton, for all other travel connections.
