Ciao!
We are a welcoming and smiling family of four, Francesca, Igor, Emma (4) and Anna (2).
We have welcomed an au pair this summer, and enjoyed this experience a lot, and we wish to continue sharing our life with an interesting, respectful and cooperative person that brings us the English language and a new culture.
We live in Genoa, a nice city in the north west of Italy, in a nice and quite area nearby the sea: a perfect place to balance an outdoor Italian life and the opportunities of the city center.

We will be happy to share with you our daily life and good Italian food. We and the grandmothers ara quite good cooks, and we will be happy to show you how to cook Italian food, as well as to learn how to cook different meals from you if you like!
The location here is great to enjoy a relaxing Italian experience, as at walking distance you will find a two kilometers fascinating and romantic Anita Garibaldi promenade, from where you can access to nice small beaches, a large park (Parchi di Nervi), an important museum centre, and a nice city area with shops and bars. Genoa city center is about 20 min far by bus or train, and there you’ll find language courses, theater, museums, cinemas and shops.
We are also well connected to various beautiful places: Portofino, cinque terre and the Ligurian coast firstly, but also cities like Pisa and Milan are abt 2h far by train, and the mountains for skiing are also close enough for a daily trip.
The help we ask for depends on the time you’ll stay with us, and what you want to do.
If you can stay for a long period, 3 months as a minimum, to have the time to get to know the babies and our habits, we would ask your help for the babies’ daily routine: basically taking them when the playgroups close at about 4-4:30pm and wait until we’re back from office, speaking English and having fun with them.
If you can stay a shorter period, we will be happy to enjoy mainly the cultural exchange, and we will appreciate your help for improving the English language for all of us, and primary for the babies. Therefore, we would ask you to spend time with us and with the babies (and the grandparents or babysitter), and enjoy the time together.
Additionally, we have a medium size garden, which requires a lot of attention: if you can and want to do that, your help with the flower and vegetable garden will be more than welcome! If you know what to do, we will be happy if you do as the garden was yours, otherwise we can teach you some basic gardening skills. Some help with general maintenance activities in the garden would also be appreciated.
