Descripción
Looking for helpers NOW. Located in Melbourne's Southern eastern suburbs, only 1 hour by train to Melbourne CBD. We have a hobby farm with 2 cows, 2 goats, chickens, dogs, and cats. We are best suited to accommodate a couple or 2 friends travelling together and wanting to stay for 2 weeks or more.
Helper accommodation is very neat self contained studio style cottage, with your own King Bed, Lounge, kitchen, bathroom and meals area. We would welcome anyone with any handyman skills etc. General duties include caring for the animals, gardening, mowing, weeding, fence repairs, painting, wood splitting and other odd jobs.
We can provide accommodation in exchange for 15 hours per week. We are 5km from the local shops and public transport, so it is more convenient if you have your own vehicle.
Many of our helpers also find paid work nearby and earn some money while staying with us.
We are also offering some $$ payment for house and pet sitting in Feb and March 2027. Contact me for details if you are interested.

You have your own private space on our property, but we will invite you to share the occasional meal or drinks with us (normally once a week). If we have guests for dinner, you will generally be invited to share the festivities and have options to meet and discuss with others. we are non-smokers, but enjoy a drink or two, and like to share travel experiences and hear your plans/adventures. Some helpers have also found paid work nearby and stayed for extended periods.

The work is fairly varied and not too arduous. General gardening, mowing, weeding, wood splitting or stacking, feeding the animals and other odd jobs and/or projects as needed. Pet minding if we are not at home.

Fully self contained cottage, fitted out with everything you could need. King Bed, all linen, kitchen, lounge space, flat screen tv and access to large dvd collection, bathroom, washing machine.
