Hi, I live in Montecorto - around 20kms from Ronda, Andalucia, Southern Spain. I have bought a farm that has been used for growing wheat or cereals. I plan to retire here and also plan to make it as environmentally friendly as possible with projects such as rain harvesting, solar and wind power, organic and sustainable etc. It is on a ridge with stunning views of the Serrania de Ronda mountains. I would welcome people who can help me make it a reality.

This area has a huge amount of history of vine growing and it is going through a revival. There is Roman site of Acinipo within 4 kms, and other vineyards. Ronda is such a beautiful place also with a lot of Moorish history. My Spanish is still basic so we can improve it together! I make my own products on the farm such as orange marmalade, wine, anis liqueur, orange lemon liqueur, olive oil. Biodegradable slippers, sponges, sewing Etc. So there is a lot I can teach.

I am planting more trees, reverse desertification, add vines in the vineyard and the existing ones need maintenance. There are several smaller projects around the house - but mainly outside.some carpentry tasks eg gate for chickens, workshop. Tidy up logs for fire .

You will have your own double bedroom and your own bathroom. So it is ideal for couples.
Shared Kitchen in which all mod cons. Help yourself from the fridge for breakfast and Lunch. Sit down meal together most evenings where we can share in the cooking.

It would be better if you had your own car. Since the farm is 6km from the nearest village. There are buses/coaches from the local village that can take you to neighbouring towns. I go into Ronda regularly for supplies so am happy to drop off and pick up while running errands, and on weekends etc. The surroundings area and villages are stunning. Just google Ronda and neighbouring area, there are also nearby cities such as Malaga, Jerez, Cadiz, Sevilla etc.
I have 3 rescue dogs and 6 rescue cats plus chickens and ducks. All used to their freedom in and around the farm.

Plenty of space around my farm to bring your own campervan. If you provide your own accommodation then you are expected to work up to 1 hours per day per adult. Extra hours paid.
