We are a language school from Banja Luka, the capital of the Republic of Srpska entity in Bosnia and Herzegovina. We are the leading language school in Bosnia, and one of the largest as well. Our headquarters are located in Banja Luka, but we also have a network of branches in over 20 other towns in Republic of Srpska.
The school is located in the center of the city, so everything is near to hand. As far as the accommodation is concerned, it is also in a pretty good location, from where you can reach the center either by going on foot or by taking a bus.

We are looking for people who are native speakers of English or German and who would work in our institution starting in November till the end of December or starting in March or April till the end of May..
The work includes teaching conversational classes to our students. Classes last for an hour, and as we work mostly in the evening, the average time spent on teaching would be 3 hours per day.
The job would include traveling to other towns where we have our courses (we provide a car). So, if you are a confident driver this is a great chance to work and, at the same time, travel across the country, meet a lot of different people and share your experience with them. In short, you would be able to really get to know culture of the country by getting to know people from different parts of it.

It is important that a person applying for this position is confident, energetic and willing to work with people - children and adults. It is also important that you have experience working with children and/or groups of people in general.
What is already mentioned and is REALLY important is the driving license and that you are an experienced driver, as you will be visiting other towns on your own. Of course, in order to make that part easier for you, we provide a GPS device, and for the first couple of times you would be accompanied by somebody till you get comfortable with driving and finding your way.

Basically, you do not have to be a teacher to work here (although that would be perfect). Your responsibilities would be to teach the classes - which includes writing lesson plans, and to travel to other cities for the same purposes. As far as preparing for the classes is concerned we provide all the materials, and of course there is the internet for all additional things you would need.

Bosnia and Herzegovina is a country of a multicultural heritage, with different elements merging together resulting in an interesting mix of customs, social practices, music as well as the national cuisine that you will love! Being on the crossroads between East and West, with a dynamic and rich history, is what resulted in a cultural mosaic we have today. (However, the part of the country where Banja Luka is situated is predominantly Christian). All these things make BIH an interesting place to visit. You would get a chance to experience the traditional side of the country all in combination with modern trends that it tends to follow.
Banja Luka is the second largest city and administrative and cultural center of political entity of Republic of Srpska. It is one of the country’s largest university centers, which means that young people constitute a significant part of the city’s population. It is also known as a “green city” due to the great number of parks, alleys as well as the green hills and woods that surround it and the Vrbas river whose color contributes to the city’s epithet.
People in BiH in general are known to be warm-hearted, friendly and always ready to have fun. According to The World Economic Forum, Bosnia is one of the most hospitable countries in the world, being on the 8th place among 140 listed countries.
As we have already mentioned, you would be traveling to many other towns and meet different people, which is a great benefit for anybody who wants to get to know the country. Also, the experience which will be gained is highly useful for anyone who has ambitions to teach.
Besides meeting people while working, we also tend to organize activities where you can meet other people of similar age and interests and connect with them (barbecue in nature, hiking, group sports, going out etc.)
