Like to wake up to the sounds of the native birds, surrounded by green gardens, grass and bushland?
Well then my little farm Maringa may be for you. I live on a beautiful little property surrounded by bushland, and enjoy sharing with friends old and new. Situated in the Gippsland lakes region water and mountains are at your ddoorstep.
The farm probably has more wombats and wildlife than the few friendly cows, with its own native bushland. I manage it alone while working remotely in a professional IT role as my day job, with the farm, gardens, lakes and other activities my main passion.
I'm revegetating areas of the farm, and typical activities for assistance include tree planting and general assistance in the gardens and with tree planing / management.
I’m also someone who lives with a disability, so while need a wheelchair in the house it doesnt stop me getting around the place on bikes and tractors, and off farm enjoy my (modified) driving, motorbike riding, travel and overseas SCUBA diving trips.
I’ve lived overseas for several years and travel extensively, but my Spanish, German and Arabic all sucks so afraid English is my preferred language.
Food and accommodation provided, have a stand-alone unit next to the house to stay in although at the moment there is a shared house kitchen and bathroom. An extra ensuite and kitchenette for the unit is on the way !
There is public transport (train) to the nearest town of Bairnsdale, 30 min away and I can pick up and drop off as needed.
Its a non smoking house and I can provide unlimited WiFi.Tipos de ayuda y oportunidades de aprendizaje

They would get to experience the Australian bush, country life, Gippsland lakes and region, as well as experience the amazing birdlife and wildlife on the farm.
And get to spend time with someone who manages to live a very interesting and fulfilling life with a disability.Ayuda
Garden and farm assistance and maintenance, can vary from time of year. Can involve tree planting, firewood collection, bird boxes to be placed in trees and working in the gardens can be any time.
Farm itself doesnt need much to run, although always a project or too around the farm or in my sheds. I have a few interesting sheds, so often a woodworking project or two in a shed. Checking my numerous trail cameras throughout the bush to see what native animals wandering through always a bit of a lucky dip 😊
And of course if the weather is good a bonus (Not a must :-), can always do with help launching my boat into the lake for a day’s cruising, fishing and ideally diving something as well !
So great if you are familiar with boats or can reverse a trailer.Idiomas hablados

The farm itself is like a little national park. In fact Maringa creek in my bush gulley flows down through the Nyerimilang National Park just a few km away before entering the Gippsland Lakes National Park. My farm is a very active wildlife corridor. Metung and Lakes Entrance both just minutes away by car. Have a push bike people can use. If you are into mountain biking, the Colquhoun Mountain Bike park is less than 2km away. The Great Alpine Road starts just down the road, the Buchan Caves just up the road, and wineries and galleries to explore.
