We are (Marie and Jean-Jacques) true lovers of old houses and we are clearly expecting this house to become a place for humans like us.
We would appreciate gathering like minded people concerning our exciting huge project. We are inviting creative dependable eco- conscious individuals to join us.
The place is an "ecospot". We use mainly natural materials to renovate the Mansion and it's outbuildings (hemp, lime, old wood, sheep wool...) but also our way of living leans towards declining consumption of mass produced products. Although we are not lacking without these items.
We do appreciate recycling, and up-cycling, second-hand clothes and sobjects. We are seeking people to join us and participate in our dream.
We are inviting people who have a vision and wish to realise their own professional project in relation with ecology : we are planning to build tiny-houses such as a hobbit house and various other styles of unusual tiny-houses in our enchanting forest in the near future. eiulture garden (1 hectare).
We are seeking talented DIYers, retired plumbers, electricians and carpenters to help in the restoration and creation of flats for the future inhabitants in connection with our project.n
The food is mainly vegetarian and some meat is strictly "forbidden" : horse, pork, gogat.
There are many animals living here on our 5 hectares.
It is possible to join us with your own accommodation (i.e. camper, mini-van, igloo, wagon, tipi.
Keep in mind that we share household chores (not included in the working hours of course!),
We demand a total respect of the house, grounds, animals and humans (non smoking bedrooms).
In the surrounding area you can ride a bike, swim in rivers, use a bike on railways, reach the coast in one hour and a half…
Important : we expect you to leave your place ready for the next human being and it is obvious that you leave your working place and tools tidy !!!!!
Jean-Jacques is a (good) teacher concerning the project at hand.
You need to be able to manage yourself in the work which needs to be done.
An association was created in order to organize events such as concerts, exhibitions, theater, festival, flee-market, in planning a "Geo caching" event during the patrimonial days in collaboration with the chateau's owner in the village.
About us : Since we were young we always had people at our place we have also hosted a Bosnian mother and her 2 children during the war, we have been a host family for elderly people and handicapped people for 5 years. This is not our first renovation but it is the largest.

Have the opportunity to spend sometime in a mansion with a real history. Participate to a reborn of an historical house with friendly animals and humans. Jean-Jacques has skills in refurbishing with lime, he is patient and a good teacher. We mainly accept people during school holidays eventhough people are allowed to stay longer if they feel like.

We enjoy renovating this wonderful place and we enjoy spending time with all the animals, we hate consuming, we just want to leave this place in a better condition. The surrounding is lovely and there are many things to do depending on your hobbies. You will fin bicycles on the spot. In summer you may enjoy swimming in river.
