Welcome. We are a small Italian family living in the coastal city of Barletta, Apulia.
I have just turned 26, just graduated in archaeology in Athens, and I will be spending this winter in my parents' house.

We would like to host someone who plays the piano or the guitar, who could give me lessons of music theory and teach me a few songs. The scope is just to have a great time. We are also interested in language exchange and good company. I am four month pregnant and very active, and I would like to take strolls with new company. Listening to new stories, the travellers' experiences, would be a different way for me to travel, in a period where I am at rest.

Barletta has its pros and cons, as every urban centre. It is a splendid location for those loving long sea shorelines, fresh fish, medieval ruins. It is also a good "base of operations", to explore the rest of Apulia and northern Basilicata. We often arrange little excursions on Sundays (Gargano, San Giovanni Rotondo, Castel del Monte, Foresta Mercadante, Matera, other places in Basilicata, and many others). Most of them would take more than an hour's drive, but we could work out the itinerary together if you join us.

We tend to prefer a brief sojourn (2-3 nights) for the volunteer, but it might be possible to extend it if the extension is compatible with our family plans. The ideal volunteer would be someone of around my age, nature lover, who plays music and is interested in exploring the area, both with us and on their own.

There are many activities to relish in Barletta with the right company!
Long strolls along the seashore, a medieval castle, a majestic cathedral, an art gallery, a theatre, two movie theatres, along with many cafes and local cuisine. The train station is in the centre of the city, which makes every new itinerary accessible. The airport of Bari is 50km away and the port of Bari is equally near. I have lived in Greece for around two years, and I would be glad to help if Greece is your next destination.

I am a philosophy and archaeology graduate with an interest in plants, languages, natural skincare, art and farmlife.
You will be learning Italian without even noticing. My parents mostly speak Italian and know anything about modern Italian music.

Ayuda
We are mainly looking for someone who plays music. We own a grand piano (likely slightly out of tune) and an electric guitar. I would like to learn to play simple songs. Another thing I might ask is to help me filling up glass bottles at the local fountains.
