    **Update March 22, 2021**

We currently have several openings to start in Spring 2021 (mostly paid positions). WORK VISA REQUIRED
Please read our entire profile before messaging. Thanks! :)

    Available positions:
    1) Skilled construction workers - ideally carpenters, plumbers and mechanics. A completed apprenticeship is an asset, but not necessarily required. Some experience in woodwork, construction and/or handling of power tools is required.

    2) Horse Trainer (2) - good riding skills and confidence with green horses are required. This could also suit two friends travelling together. There is also the option of picking up extra hours in housekeeping, construction work, etc.

    Hi there,

We are an Adventure Resort in development in one of the most pristine parts in BC's coastal mountains. In the Chilcotin you will find find everything nature has to offer. From Salmon fishing grizzlies in the boreal coastal rain forest to one of the best winter playgrounds for snow shoeing, sledding, etc. in the rainbow mountains and virtually everything in between.

This is a beautiful place to enjoy nature and a quiet, yet active lifestyle. The resort runs on solar power (although there is a generator as back-up), so everybody has to be conscious of how much power they use.
Our herd of 13 horses roam free on the property and might greet you in the morning in front of your cabin!

Last year, part of the resort opened and we are now working to finish the cabins at the main property.

Before contacting us, please be aware that this is a very remote location - it is difficult to get around if you don't have a car, and even with a car, the closest bigger town (Williams Lake) is a 3.5 hour drive away. We usually only go there every few weeks to stock up on groceries, which takes some getting used to but is a great way to save money.

There is no cell service here and only limited internet. This is not a place for anybody who likes to go to clubs every weekend or who needs to get to a supermarket every week. If, on the other hand, you enjoy (ice)fishing, hiking, cutting firewood, and having a beer while watching the sunset, this is a wonderful place.

Our minimum stay is usually 3 months, and we prefer volunteers who are at least 23 years or older (couples are welcome as well). The number of workers at the Resort varies throughout the year, usually there are at least 2 and up to 10, but you should be comfortable working and spending time on your own when coming to such a remote place. There is an amazing community of people in the area though, and anyone who stays a few weeks discovers that this is what makes this place truly special.

We are always looking for skilled workers such as carpenter/plumber/electrician/mechanic, singles are sometimes a bit easier to accommodate but we usually accept couples too.

Due to the uncertainty around the 2021 IEC season, we can only accept workers whose POE letter has already been approved, or who are already in Canada with a valid visa. That being said, we have in the past supported workers seeking a Young Professional Visa and will continue to do so once the pools for 2021 open. Contact us for details.

This is an amazing place to experience life in rural BC. Tweedsmuir Provincial Park and Bella Coola are close by and offer countless adventures on your days off. There is also lots of opportunities to broaden your skills, whether your are an ambitious construction helper or a skilled worker - we need help with all aspects of building (dry walling, plumbing, painting, etc.) and there is always something new to learn.

There are several positions to be filled around the resort.

During summer, we are looking for volunteers who are experienced hikers and can map the trails in the surrounding area with GPS for guests. There is lots of wildlife around here, so you should be comfortable and ideally already have experience navigating in terrain with moose, bears, etc.

Year-round, we have 1-2 horse guides on staff who take guests out on trail rides and train the horses when there are no guests. This position is suitable only for experienced, confident riders, as some of our horses are young and aren't suitable for rides with guests yet. We prefer long-term stays for this position so the horses have time to get used to their trainers.

In addition, we are always looking for skilled workers. Whether your are a carpenter, electrician, dry waller, tile setter or mechanic, there will be something for you to do (although it may not always be exclusively in your trade, everyone helps with whatever needs to be done). Occasionally, we also accept construction helpers (workers with only a little experience in construction but who are willing to learn). These are usually paid positions, please contact us for details.

Please note that you need to hold a valid work visa in order to work here, both for volunteer and paid positions!

We are located in a very remote area with no cell reception and no means of public transportation. In order to be able to really enjoy everything this area has to offer it would be beneficiary to have your own means of transportation. We can pick you up in Williams Lake BC (340km one way) but we are not able to provide transportation in your time off.

We have a few spaces where you could park a small or medium-sized RV or campervan. We don't have any hookups, but of course a kitchen and bathroom for you to use. Please note that the roads around the Resort are usually muddy or snowy from October until April/May, so having a AWD/4x4 vehicle with sufficient ground clearance is an asset.
