Hello future Au Pair,
Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about our family. We live on a beautiful property in Newrybar, NSW, just 15 minutes from Byron Bay, surrounded by rolling countryside, cows, and nature. We are looking for a warm, caring, and reliable Au Pair to join our family from September/October 2026, around six weeks after the arrival of our newest baby.
Our family consists of three young boys: a newborn baby (on the way), a one-year-old, and a four-year-old. Life in our home is busy, active, and centred around family, healthy living and enjoying our beautiful home here in Australia. Our boys love being outdoors and spend their days jumping on the trampoline, playing on the swing set, kicking a soccer ball around, gardening, creating art in the sunshine, and digging mud pits. We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys spending time with children and doesn't mind getting a little dirty while having fun.
The ideal person for our family is calm, nurturing, patient, and positive. We would love someone who values family life, enjoys being outdoors, and can bring a peaceful presence into our home. Privacy and mutual respect are important to us, and we hope to find someone who appreciates the balance of being part of the family while also enjoying their own space.
Cooking is an important part of our household, so we are particularly interested in someone who enjoys preparing healthy, organic, nutritious meals. We do eat meat, so please keep this in mind before applying.
The role will generally be around 25 hours per week, with some flexibility required. We are looking for someone who is happy to occasionally help with additional hours, including some weekends when needed. Early starts are a regular part of family life, with 7:00 a.m. starts often required, so this role would suit someone who is naturally an early riser and comfortable with mornings.
You will have your own private cabin on the property, complete with a small kitchen, bathroom, fireplace, and a large deck overlooking the countryside. It's a peaceful and beautiful space where you can relax and enjoy your own time while still being close to the family home.
A car and driver's licence are essential for this role.
A few important house expectations:
No smoking on the property.
No drinking alcohol on the property.
No loud music.
No visitors.
Respect for the peaceful nature of our home and surroundings.

- Be willing to prepare healthy, nutritious meals for the family.
- Be a non-smoker and non-drinker.
You must either already hold, or be willing to obtain before commencing:
- Australian First Aid Certificate
- Paediatric First Aid Certificate
- Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- National Police Clearance
This role is best suited to someone who appreciates a healthy, family-focused lifestyle and a calm home environment.
