  Two dogs and a cat live with us. Wonderful landscapes of mountains and sea. Next to the Cantabrian coast, small village (Poo), 20 minutes walk from another main village (LLanes). I am retired as a technology teacher in a secondary school. I am interested in politics, history, current issues in the world. I am angry about the lack of solidarity with those who flee from hunger or wars, social injustice, neoliberalism that creates so much poverty, religions that violate the equal rights of women and make people submissive to irrational rules. I like to read, keep learning, travelling, meeting people to exchange experiences...

  Junto a la costa Cantábrica, pueblo pequeño (Poo) a 20 minutos caminando de otro principal (LLanes)
  Estoy jubilada como profesora de Tecnología en un instituto de Secundaria. Generalmente compartimos casa varias persons
  Me interesa la política, la historia, los temas de actualidad en el mundo.
  Me enfadan la insolidaridad con quienes huyen del hambre o las guerras, la injusticia social, el neoliberalismo que crea tanta pobreza, las religiones que atentan contra los derechos igualitarios de las mujeres y hacen a las personas sumisas a normas irracionales.
  Me gusta leer, seguir aprendiendo, viajar, conocer gente para intercambiar experiencias...

  Living in an environment with many friends, the visitor would easily practice Spanish, in addition to knowing how we work here.

  The place is ideal for mountaineers (Picos de Europa), climbers, surfers, cyclists... There are many prehistoric caves nearby with paintings that can be visited.

  Puedo apoyar en español si lo desea también, como intercambio.
  Ideal el lugar para montañeros (Picos de Europa), escaladores, surfistas, ciclistas...Hay cerca muchas cuevas prehistóricas con pinturas, visitables.
  El jardín y la casa permiten aislarse cuando una lo necesita, pues hay muchos rincones para ello.

  Weekends and holidays are free. However, if you prefer to exchange your days off for weekdays, that's fine as long as you complete the required weekly hours.
  I consider extra help with general cleaning and cleaning the kitchen, living room, bedroom, etc., in common areas to be the responsibility of those who share the house. I prefer not to have to ask for help with these tasks.

  La persona voluntaria puede usar la cocina como desee.
  
  Fines de semana y días festivos libres. Pero si desea cambiar los descansos por los de la semana laboral, no me importa con tal de que cumpla las horas de trabajo semanales.
  La colaboración extra en las tareas de limpieza general y de cocina, sala, dormitorio …en espacios comunes la considero propia de quienes comparten la casa. En eso, no me gusta tener que pedir ayuda.

  I'm a member of Servas and the Hospitality Club, so I'm open to visitors and meeting people.
  
  I have many friends of all ages who often stay at my house. I live 100 km from three major cities (Oviedo, Gijón, and Santander), and two hours from Bilbao, with good bus connections. I can also help visitors get here with friends or BlaBlaCar.
  
  The main town has everything you need: a swimming pool, sports facilities, supermarkets, etc.
  
  Sometimes my schedule as a host changes unexpectedly when travel plans suddenly arise because I'm retired. The information listed is just a guideline.
  
  When making decisions, I consider the opinions of previous hosts and how you've helped them. Please tell me about the hosts you've volunteered with. You can ask them to add that information to your profile, as it will open doors for you. I think that's very important. Knowing their age, skills, profession, education, interests... also helps me make decisions.

  Socia de Servas y Hospitality Club, por lo que estoy abierta a visitas, a conocer gente.
  Tengo muchos amigos de todas las edades, que pasan por la casa.
  Vivo a 100 km de tres ciudades importantes, (Oviedo, Gijón, Santander), a dos horas de Bilbao, con buena comunicación por autobús. Puedo ayudar al visitante a llegar hasta aquí también con amigos que vienen o blablacar.
  
  El pueblo principal tiene todo lo necesario: piscina, pistas deportivas,supermercados,...
  
  A veces el calendario como anfitriona cambia de improviso cuando de repente surgen planes de viaje que no esperaba porque estoy jubilada. Lo que está marcado es orientativo.
  
  
  A la hora de decidir, tengo en cuenta la opinion de los anfitriones anteriores., y saber en qué les has ayudado. Cuéntame, por favor, con qué anfitriones has estado como voluntario/ a. Puedes pedirles el favor de que la cuelguen esa info en tu perfil, ya que te abrirá puertas .Eso me parece muy importante.
  Saber la edad, las habilidades,la profesión, los estudios, las inquietudes…también me ayuda a tomar decisiones.
