Thanks for Reading. We are a farm, located in Mogotes, Santader Colombia, (under construction) where lots of things are happening and for which we always need help and nice people to be around. We are currently making different works in our farm, to make it nicer for people to visit it in the future. The concept of the farm is to be a place where visitors can come, relax, have a tranquil stay, enjoy the sites of the region (rivers, waterfall, caves, jogging/cycling routes and more) while making a social contribution and respecting the environment. We bought the land by the beginning of 2016 and are planning to be open to visitors from December, 2016. One important thing: WE ARE ALWAYS OPEN FOR NEW IDEAS. In the meantime we are doing lots of works for which we need help in the fields of: gardening, construction, sustainable interior design and farming.
While being here there lots you can do. However, we strongly recommend not doing anything and enjoying yourself; hang a hammock, read, take a cup of coffee (of course from the farm) and chill; If after a few days you need more action you can visit the rivers, waterfalls and caves (google Hoyo de los Pájaros, a massive whole in the ground where thousands of birds come and go every day; you cannot go into the whole as is 150mt deep). We love cycling. We love music. We love chatting. We love fires at night. We love peace. We love nice people. You can also visit nearby towns which are pretty nice as well (San Gil, Curití, Barichara, etc).
If there you have any questions for a potential stay don’t hesitate to ask; there is no such a thing like a silly question (i.e can I bring my pet? Answer. Yes you can). Looking Forward to having you here.
One more thing. If you have any skills that you think may be relevant to our project please give us a shout.

Ayuda en una granja
Ayuda en proyecto ecológico
1. You will learn how people live in other parts of the world; in this case Colombia, more exactly Mogotes, Santander.
2. You will interact with the locals. Our project is entirely social-driven. You will get to know people and locals from the region. You will pick up the language
3. Your work will benefit the community. The business model of the farm is to integrate farmers of the region in many different aspects.
4. You will learn new things. From looking after a coffee farm to making you own fermented beverages.
5. You will meet two cool guys (me and my friend Jesús), who work for the corporate work and are pretty close to leaving it by means of this project.
6. You will get to know yourself a bit better. It happened to me after working in the farm for a few days, so I can give you my word on this one.
We need all sorts of help for different projects in our farm. As we said before, if you have skills apart from the ones we are requesting, yet you think may be of use, please give us a shout.
Gardening. We need to design and build several gardens around de the farm. One main garden for house, one by the coffee land and a few more around. Most likely we need to get the wood and materials from the farm.
Edible forest. (sure the worst translation I could have done). We are planning to dedicate half an hectare for vegetables, fruit tree and some other edibles for the farm.
House work. Lots of painting, wall repairing and so on.
Wood work. We need to design and build wood cabinets, shelves, tables
Art work. We would love to place around the farm a few artistic installations to blend art and a natural landscape into one thing. We also want to paint a huge wall with the right proposal (graffiti, installations, etc) Up for it?
And more. Different farm work that comes around every day: getting wood, building pet house.
Other skills like photography and ideation of business models are also needed.
Final note: We will never leave you on your own.
You will have Bunkbeds
You can chill in your spare time and pretty much do whatever you want. Most of the local sights (cave, rivers, waterfalls, bike/jogging roads) are walking distance, if transport is needed we can lend you the Red Baron (our Suzuki LJ model 1979) to go around.
