Descripción
We are a family of four: me, my husband, our 7-year-old daughter, and our 1-year-old son.
We live in Hizen-Nagata, a quiet and nature-rich area in Isahaya City, Nagasaki Prefecture. Our home is surrounded by beautiful countryside, making it a peaceful place where you can relax and experience rural life in Japan.
The nearest city, Isahaya, is about 15 minutes away by train. It is also close to Nagasaki City, which is known for its international history, sightseeing spots, and beautiful scenery.

Intercambio cultural y oportunidades de aprendizaje
Our family also participates in a local cultural exchange community where local children, families, and international volunteers spend time together through games, crafts, outdoor play, and seasonal activities.
We usually visit a few times a week, and you will be welcome to join us.
• Tuesdays (10:00–14:00): toddler program with our son
• Wednesdays & Thursdays (15:00–19:00): kids program with our 7-year-old daughter
The schedule may change slightly during Japanese school holidays.
This is a great opportunity to meet local families and international volunteers while experiencing the local community. There are sometimes weekend gatherings or special events as well.
Our family is open and friendly, and we enjoy spending time with people from different cultures.
We also enjoy outdoor activities, traveling, and taking sauna and onsen.
I enjoy cooking Japanese home-style meals and baking sweets, and we can sometimes cook or bake together.
I hope you will enjoy interacting with local children and families, sharing cultures, experiencing Japanese life, and being part of our community.

Alojamiento
Room/
You will stay in a cozy semi-private space in our children's room.
The space is about 4.5 tatami mats in size and separated by a curtain to create your own comfortable area. You will sleep on a traditional Japanese futon, which many guests enjoy as part of the Japanese home experience.
The room has a window and air conditioning (shared with the family).
Our children sleep on the other side of the curtain, so it is a lively and warm family environment. We hope you will feel relaxed and enjoy experiencing daily life in a Japanese home.
Meals /
We provide food for our volunteers, but our meal style is simple and relaxed because we are a family with young children.
• Breakfast: Help yourself to bread, cereal, fruit, eggs, etc.
• Lunch: Feel free to cook something for yourself using ingredients in our kitchen.
• Dinner: We usually share dinner together as a family.
Dinner time is a nice moment for us to talk, share cultures, and enjoy time together, but during the day you can relax and manage your own schedule.
※Dietary Requirements
Because we are a busy family with young children, we usually cook simple home-style meals.
For this reason, we may not be able to accommodate special diets such as vegetarian, vegan, allergy-specific, or elimination diets. Volunteers will generally eat the same meals as our family.
If you have any dietary restrictions, please let us know in advance so we can discuss whether our home is a good fit for you.
Thank you for your understanding.
Algo más...
Our daughter is 7 years old and a little shy at first, but she warms up once she gets to know you. We would love for volunteers to speak English with our children and share their culture, language, and experiences.
We especially welcome people who enjoy keeping shared spaces clean and tidy.
Things you can experience here
• Experience a traditional Japanese tea ceremony
• Visit a sauna or relax at a Japanese onsen (hot spring)
• Go to the gym together if you like staying active
• Enjoy the beautiful nature around the river or the sea
• Visit local izakayas (Japanese-style pubs)
• Cook meals together using fresh local ingredients
We enjoy sharing everyday Japanese life with our volunteers.
