Descripción
We are a non-profit association, dedicated to the dissemination of culture in Jimena. We have an aerial circus school with 80 students between 3 and 57 years old. There are also yoga, biodance and theater classes. We also organize theater, music and circo festivals.
The association is located in a town near the Alcornocales Natural Park. The nearest beach is 45 minutes by car and we have the beaches of Tarifa and Bolonia very close. The closest cities are Algeciras and Estepona, on the coast, and Ronda, in the mountains.
Our space is an old renovated cork factory, more than 100 years old. The space has a small theater, a training room, community kitchen, living room, bathroom, patio and garden with the possibility of growing a garden.
We prioritize people who are there all year round. If we already have someone, we don't take 2 people.

We are looking for committed people. It is important that you are organized and help keep the space in good condition. The community kitchen will be your place to cook, so you must keep it clean, the refrigerator and furniture maintained. It is important that you are an independent and determined person. And above all, that you really want to learn and take advantage of the classes. The shower is shared.
Somos una asociación sin ánimo de lucro, dedicada a la difusión de la cultura en Jimena de la Fra, Cádiz. Tenemos una escuela de circo aéreo con 80 alumnos de entre 3 y 57 años. Hay clases de yoga, biodanza y teatro.
En la asociación también organizamos festivales de teatro, música, circo y arte.
Estamos ubicados en un pueblo dentro del Parque Natural Los Alcornocales, la playa está a 45 minutos en coche y tenemos muy cerca las playas de Tarifa, Bolonia, etc.
Nuestro espacio es una antigua fábrica de corcho de mas de 100 años reformada para convertirse en lo que es hoy, un centro de artes. Tenemos un pequeño teatro, una sala de entrenamiento, cocina comunitaria, sala de estar, baño, patio y jardín con posibilidad de tener huerto.
Buscamos personas comprometidas. Es importante que seas ordenada y ayudes a mantener el espacio en buenas condiciones. La cocina comunitaria será tu lugar para cocinar, por lo que debes mantenerlo limpio, la nevera y muebles mantenidos.
Es importante que seas una persona independiente y resuelta. Y sobre todo, que tengas muchas ganas de aprender y aprovechar las clases.
Priorizamos a personas que estén todo el año. Si ya tenemos a alguien, no cogemos a 2 personas.
Si nos ves y te gusta nuestro proyecto, estate atenta que siempre volvemos a buscar en septiembre.

- All the people who have lived with us as volunteers have left with an advanced level of aerial circus.
- All classes taught are free for the volunteer.
- The activities is from Monday to Friday.

- People of many nationalities come, the space is open and free. We are a great family. Spanish and English are spoken.
- Todas las personas que han estado voluntarias se van de aquí con un conocimiento alto del circo aéreo si no lo conocían antes.
- Todas las clases que se imparten están disponibles y gratuítas para la persona voluntaria.
- Todas las tardes de lunes a viernes hay actividades.
- El trabajo con los niños da muchas habilidades para luego seguir en otros lugares. Se hacen talleres intensivos de teatro, circo y baile.
- Viene gente de muchas nacionalidades, el espacio está abierto y es libre. Somos una gran familia. Se habla español e inglés.

If you come for less than 3 months it is not possible to admit you.
We prioritize having an average level of Spanish.
We need you to help in classes and in the reception of students, as well as in cleaning and maintenance of the space; also in the preparation of festivals and events. We are looking for a person who has experience working with children. It is essential to have a sexual crimes certificate. Knowledge of basic aerial techniques (juggling, aerials, acrobatics,...), theater or aerial dance will be positively valued.
It would be interesting if you have studied something similar to sports technician, sociocultural animation or any study that qualifies you to be with boys and girls. Here you will learn a new trade, if you do not have experience it is the right place to learn how to teach circus and theater classes to children, learn yoga and see how the project is organized.
The school holds circus events outside and inside the school.
If you have a car, your stay is much easier because public transportation is scarce in this area. There is a train to Ronda and Algeciras, and buses but very few hours available.
It is important that you are a happy, responsible person, with social skills, who likes sports and with basic computer knowledge (Excel, Word, social networks).
The project is constantly moving, so there will be days with a greater volume of work than others. The people who created the project work with a lot of passion and dedication.
Lo primero que debes saber es que priorizamos solicitudes de personas que puedan estar los 9 meses de proceso creativo. Desde octubre/noviembre hasta junio.
Si no es así, lo ideal es hacer 2 trimestres. Hasta finales de febrero.
Priorizamos que se tenga un nivel medio de castellano.
Para aprender todas las técnicas de circo aéreo, funcionamiento del espacio y sobre todo el trato con las personas. Al final es una gran familia y seguro que te gustaría estar hasta el final de curso que es cuando se hacen las muestras y espectáculos.
Si vienes para menos de 3 meses no es posible admitirte.
Solicitamos a alguien que tenga conocimientos para trabajar con niños y niñas. Imprescindible certificado de delitos sexuales. Si tiene conocimientos básicos de circo (malabares, aéreos, equilibrios acrobáticos, parada de manos..), teatro o danza sería perfecto.
Sería interesante que hayas estudiado algo parecido a técnico deportivo, animación sociocultural o cualquier estudio que te capacite para estar con niños y niñas. Aquí aprenderás un nuevo oficio, si no tienes experiencia es el lugar adecuado para aprender a dar clases de circo y teatro a niños, aprender yoga y ver como se organiza el proyecto.
Tiene que ser una persona con muchas ganas de aprender, ya que todas las clases y cursos están disponibles. Necesitamos que ayude en las clases y en la recepción de alumnos.
La escuela hace eventos de circo fuera y dentro de la sede.
Si tienes coche es mucho mas fácil tu estancia porque el transporte público es escaso en esta zona. Hay tren hacia Ronda y Algeciras, y autobuses pero muy pocas horas disponibles.
Aún así somos una gran familia de socios que siempre acojemos a las personas que vienen.
Las comidas son individuales, tienes tu propia cocina, a veces se hacen comidas comunitarias también y compartimos.
Se hacen trabajos de limpieza y mantenimiento del espacio.
En la preparación de festivales y eventos.
Es importante que sea una persona alegre y responsable. Con habilidades sociales y que le guste mucho el deporte.
El proyecto está en constante movimiento actualmente, por lo que a veces hay días con más volumen de trabajo que otros. Las personas que creamos el proyecto trabajamos con mucha pasión y entrega.

Alojamiento
Single room equipped with double bed, table, wardrobe, chair and heating. The shared bathroom is located outside the room, in another part of the house. Patio and garden. Food is included and living expenses are paid.
Habitación individual con 2 colchones. Lo indispensable para estar agusto. Mesa, armario, silla, calefacción.
Cuarto de baño fuera en otra parte de la casa compartido. Un patio y un jardín. Se vive en la misma asociación.
La comida está toda incluída.

In your free time you can visit the forest, go down to the Hozgarganta River, take the dogs out, go to the Castle, train with the adult students, go to the beach, visit the Genal Valley, go to Ronda, go to Tarifa. .... If you are a climber there are via ferratas in the Genal Valley or climbing routes in Casares.
En tu tiempo libre puedes visitar el bosque, bajar al río Hozgarganta, sacar a los perritos ir al Castillo, entrenar con los alumnos adultos, ir a la playa, visitar el Valle del Genal, ir a Ronda, ir a Tarifa.....
Si eres escalador/a hay vías ferratas en el Valle del Genal o vías de escalada en Casares.
