We are a family living in Bologna: me, my daughter, 25, my son, 23.
Our house is in the country, 5 minutes walking from the bus stop, 15 minutes by bus from the center of the town. The bus stops in the evening at 7 pm, later you need for a taxi or a lift.

Bologna is a beautiful and historical town. Here there is the oldest university in the world. It's the best italian town to stay if you want to visit Italy: 1 hour by train from Venice, Florence, Verona, Mantova, Ravenna, 2 hours from Siena, Pisa, and 2,5 hours from Perugia and Rome with a fast train.
Many volunteers, boys and girls, young or aged, from all around the world stayed here, and we always had good experiences.
I ask some experience of working in the garden, or painting, maintenance...
IMPORTANT NOTES: 1) We can't host people asking for residence. 2) When you stay here we are not on holidays, but we work and study, so it's important that you are an autonomous person.

I stayed with Silvia and her family for ten days, and it was wonderful! Unfortunately it was very hot so I couldn’t do much garden work, but I did help with indoor chores. I felt like part of the family from the moment I walked in their door.The work part of the Workaway is minimal - only feeding the dog - which leaves you with plenty of time and freedom to explore Bologna and Emilia-Romagna.
