Artemis was an incredible work awayer!
We deeply appreciated their company - Henry adored playing with them , cooking, and looking for them at any chance to connect and I felt really enlivened and joyous to have a housemate/companion to connect with in multiple meaningful ways. (Not to mention I felt so free being able to consider new projects-

Artemis is super in a few valuable areas which made a huge difference to our life for three weeks
1- Artemis sees things that need doing and goes for it! They are creative and neat/clean, autonomous and hard working! I could put my full trust and faith in them (and if anything- I felt to check in they weren’t over-working sometimes!)
2- Artemis was so so good at organising and decluttering the studio space, helping us create a spreadsheet for our community garden, and being flexible to an emergent plan of projects!
3. Artemis is a genuine and clear communicator- it was so so appreciated to have their company, be able to be real about life in its crunchy and smooth parts and navigate our time together with a kind hearted and direct communication whenever things needed to be discussed
I highly recommend Artemis as a work awayer- especially if you hope for a very clear communicator, a versatile and self-starting helper and playful companion! (Dance and trampoline parties were some of Henry’s highlights with Artemis)

I stayed with Charlotte, her son Henry and their family dog Willow for three weeks. Charlotte was very welcoming and attentive to my well-being during my stay, frequently checking-in to make sure I wasn't doing more than agreed upon and inviting me to join on her different outings and events. She was also open to some of my own ideas for the work
… read more projects, facilitating co-creation, which was really appreciated, as it is not always the case with all hosts. Henry is an energetic little ball of life, bringing adorable chaos wherever he goes! I loved getting to know them both during my stay, having long heartfelt conversations with Charlotte, playing monster or on the trampoline with Henry and going on adventures with Willow in the fields at the back of the house. The acommodation is really the cherry on top; a cozy peaceful country house nestled in the Macedon ranges, surrounded by wildlife and nature.
The work was as described; a mix of house chores, occasional babysitting, and ad-hoc projects depending on what Charlotte has going on. That included, for me, a bit of gardening and re-organizing a studio space so that it is ready for an upcoming artist retreat Charlotte will be hosting. It was easy to negotiate tasks.
All in all, I highly recommend Charlotte as an host. I think workawayers who are self-directed, autonomous, easy-going with a schedule that's bound to change with a young kid, creative and clear communicators are best suited to the tasks and dynamics of this little family.
Thank you Charlotte and Henry <3 As already said, you will always be welcomed in my home if we ever find ourselves again in the same place at the same time. It was truly a special time together!

It was such a beautiful experience having Catalina as a work awayer the past few weeks! Catalina helped my son and I with our Spanish each day, cooked us delicious vegetarian meals, helped me relax and have fun and go with the flow more (swims in the dam, painting together with my son), cleaning , and, incredible declutterring and organising of my
… read more living room and pantry! It has made life so much more easeful having Catalina around, she has been so sweet with my son- he started saying “Tía” first thing in the morning! Catalina was open to real conversations and the difficult conversations too which is one of the most important qualities when sharing a home for me, we were able to wear our hearts-on -our-sleeves, so I felt so happy and at ease to have her in our home. Catta’s kindness, patience and compassion are such valuable qualities!

The experience that my partner and I had with Charlotte, David and Henry was very nice. Both are people with a lot of knowledge to offer and very interesting people where we were able to share moments of music together and talks. Even Charlotte is a very enthusiastic person with music, with whom we had opportunities to exchange instruments and
… read more music and we even wanted to share more music together, since there have not been many of those moments, but it is also normal that in the past That's because being parents and working at the same time makes it difficult to find a moment for that, but the moments that we have exchanged music were beautiful and we keep them as a beautiful memory❤️🥰.
Also something that I liked about this workaway is that they are a very friendly family, we had the opportunity to share time with David and Charlotte's parents, who are very loving and warm people and who made us feel very welcome and treated us like family.
Also the experience with Henry was beautiful for us and a lot of learning, since for us all that was something new and at the same time the beautiful thing about this experience is that Henry is a happy child who gains confidence quickly and makes himself loved easily, So it was very nice to share time with him😍.

We absolutely loved having Lu and Manu stay with us. From the very beginning, we enjoyed playing music together, and seeing how beautifully curious and playful both were with our son Henry. They both went above and beyond to help with things like cleaning, cooking, and speaking Spanish with our son, and getting our caravan ready for artists in

Speaking Spanish with our son- which is one of the biggest gifts we could have hoped for, was a delight to witness- especially as they were naturals with him - playing futbol and hanging in nature. They were both very responsive to feedback, and very warm and kind. They were open to diverse jobs, and we Communicated and negotiated well over the 10 to 12 day period in which they stayed. I would highly recommend these 2 to other hosts, and would definitely have them back again. They are definitely missed in our household, so much love and all the best for their next adventure.Comentarios
