  Welcome to our countryside home near the majestic Mount Etna! This is not just a home but a non-profit space dedicated to sustainability and harmonious living. I recently moved to this peaceful and picturesque location and am looking for enthusiastic Workawayers to join me in maintaining and nurturing this special place.
  
  Our focus is on preserving the house and land through sustainable practices, and there is plenty of meaningful work to be done both inside and outside.The work varies throughout the year, adapting to the needs of the house and the land. In spring, we focus on creating a vegetable garden and preparing the outdoor spaces before the dry summer season. Other tasks may include general indoor maintenance, keeping outdoor areas clean and gathering wood for winter.
  
  In exchange for your help, you'll enjoy delicious meals, a cozy place to stay, and an opportunity to immerse yourself in the natural beauty and culture of rural Sicily. We also follow a daily spiritual routine, which you are welcome to join if you’re interested in exploring the spiritual world.

Here, we embrace a slower pace of life, practicing yoga and meditation to center our minds and bodies while immersing ourselves in the beauty of the surrounding environment. Silence, fresh air, and a strong connection to nature are at the heart of life here.
  
  This is also a space for cultural exchange and discovery. The nearby Mount Etna volcano offers endless opportunities for exploration, with breathtaking hikes and unique volcanic landscapes right on our doorstep. Just a short trip away, the Gole dell’Alcantara provides stunning views of natural gorges carved by rivers over centuries—a must-see for any nature lover.
  
  The area is vibrant with local culture, offering underground dinners, traditional Sicilian cuisine, and intimate gatherings where you can meet the community and experience the island’s soulful charm. If you value meaningful connections, peaceful surroundings, and the joy of shared work, my home is the perfect place to exchange skills and stories.

  My home is designed to create a peaceful and harmonious atmosphere, where simplicity meets comfort. Whether it’s resting in the room, enjoying the fresh air outside, or sharing meals together, you’ll find this a welcoming and rejuvenating place to call home during your time here.
