    Descripción

    The Centre is a land of 6ha covered with forest, orchard, grazing land and several organically grown crops. We also have many cows, buffalos, chickens. Our organic activities include growing wheat, gram, lentils, mustard, sesame seeds, different fruits such as mangos, lime, amla, guava and jamun and seasonal vegetables as well as lots of herbs. The Centre holds a processing unit for our organic products such as dalia, mixed flour, pickles, cereals and lentils.

    The Centre is also dedicated to the exchange of farming knowledge and know-how. Apart from our agrarian museum, showing human evolution of a farmer’s point of view, we regularly organise training (four days to a week) to share our experience, opinion and vision of what farming is nowadays and how we can improve agriculture for the next generations, without damaging the land resilience. The main message of the training is that excessive and indiscriminate use of fertilizers, insecticides, pesticides and other chemicals has harmed Indian agriculture. With this the very taste and nutritive quality of the products are spoiled and the soil is fast-losing its fertility. The training is an ideal practical and pragmatic theory which encompasses all the aspects of agriculture, including farming, animal husbandry and reforestation.

    Prem started his farm in 1987 and after gaining lots of experience in organic agriculture he established the Centre in 2012 spreading his knowledge and giving people the opportunity to learn about facing the future challenges of agriculture and environment.

    We encourage farmers to become self-sufficient in manuring, watering, seed and energy production.
    The farm is also part of the volunteering community and regularly welcomes volunteers from all over the world. If you feel like helping and learning about organic agriculture, you are very welcome to come, observe and experience the Centre.

    You can learn about Indian culture, as well as farming history and a lot about animals, plants and farming in general. You'll find yourself in a nice environment where you can experience Indian dishes (learn how to make them), explore the area on a scooter or visit the factory where the farm organic products are processed.

    We encourage our volunteers to bring their own creative projects and expertise.

    We look for people with experience in :

    - alternative energy: biogas, solar energy;
    - optimization of water management and irrigation;
    - landscaping and optimization of the living space;
    - gardening: aromatic and medicinal plants, flowers, tree pruning, fruit picking and conservation;
    - seed bank: we are open for seed exchanges
    - cooking: we always look for new recipes and tastes to try in our community kitchen.

    We need people with knowledge on web development and web design for our website (!!!)
    Social media experts and producers. We encourage stays from video producers and bloggers.

    You can stay here on the farm and live with us as a family, for us it is a pleasure to have visitors from all over the world. It depends on your interests and your effort what and how much you want to help but you will always find something to do, either in the garden, with the animals, in the kitchen or just exchanging knowledge.
    Things that you could do are watering the plants, milking and feeding the cows, help in the kitchen (also learn how to cook Indian dishes), seeding and harvesting plants, making new soil or cleaning.
