Located in Lower Plenty, on bushland reserve & close to arts activities, nature, cafes & restaurants. 16km from the CBD with train nearby & buses at the door every 5-10 minutes that will take you to the city or the beach and airport.
Wake to the birdsong of magpies & kookaburras & the fragrance of the gum trees.
Spoilt for choice with restaurants, cafes, wine bars and pubs nearby walking distance or 5 minutes by car and a golf course across the road. There is a weekend Farmers Market 5 minutes by car. It is an art focused area, galleries and arts activities and you can walk for kilometres in natural bushland and waterways.
1 cheeky black cat, My Buckley & a sweet little tortoiseshell girl Miss Jiggly, who is very snuggly and the gorgeous dog, Ernie Yamato, Whippet X. I work from home so they are not used to be left alone.
You would need to love, love, love animals, especially cats and be very experienced with dogs, please read his profile. Non smoker. They are all used to sleeping on the bed with me so you would need to be happy with this. Buckley is diabetic & needs insulin twice daily. Ernie has one mediciation per day at the moment. Jiggly is healthy and not on any meds. The cats have breakfast & dinner plus grazing in between. Ernie has some dog biscuits for breakfast and his main meal of kibble & meat for dinner. The usually have their dinner around 5-6 ish, they won't let you forget!
1 spacious bedroom with queen size bed, desk with chair and arm chair, the other bedroom is art and storage. Living area, back verandah and courtyard garden. Would suit a couple or single.
Average work expected for Workaway is 20 hours per week which is an average of 2.85 hours per day. Looking after the 3 Pets and watering the plants is the main job, and of course cleaning up around the house as you would in your own home. The rest of the time is your own.

Ernie Yamoto (3 años)
Whippet X, Ernie is young & enthusiastic. He's had lots of training in the last 12 mths since I adopted him. He's doing well but still learning. He's bigger than whippet and smaller than a grayhound, in between. He is 25k and strong. He can be reactive on the lead to other dogs. He sleeps on my bed with cats so it's cozy. He adores everyone & very smoochy & cuddly.

Ane looked after my pets while I was overseas on holiday. She was reliable and able to fit in with the times that I needed. My fur babies were well looked after and happy to have company while I was away. I would recommend Ane for house and pet sitting. She was very accommodating.

Thanks gals! Good job. I was absent for a couple of weekends and these gals picked up the reins and did a great job of caring for the furry babies and keeping the house and garden.

Nicole only stayed for a week but it was the week that I needed pet sitting so it was great to have her on board! The furry babies loved her and she fitted in well. We only had a day or so when I was there and I found Nicole very agreeable and would definitely recommend her for Workaway especially with animals.

We stayed during 3 weeks, the work was routine but easy and enjoyable.

Naomi was great company as well as help around the house and the garden. The puppies loved her and Buckley our black cat took a great liking to Naomi!
I'd highly recommend Naomi, she is pro-active and respectful and follows through with everything assigned to her plus more! It was nice to have someone around who took the initiative!

Matthew did a fabulous job, the dogs loved him and he took them on 2 hour walks everyday and they have never looked so contented.
