Descripción
Looking for a responsible couple (partners, family, friends) in the beautiful lagoon of Chiriqui Grande, Bocas del Toro, Panama. Over 3 hectares of lush green land with water access only on the main land of the tropical province Bocas de Toro with a good connection to the outer world and 3 lovely dogs, a PTSD cat and 2 hens to care for.
Knowledge of maintenance and some Spanish would be a plus, a rather sober life style is a requirement. -

The place itself teaches a lot and you will have true encounter with yourself as there is no distraction or entertainment (yes, you will have phone and internet reception)

and will be surrounded by Indigenous culture -

Seeking 2 types of help
One is pet and house sitting for 1 week up to a month when I need to travel.
When I am around :there are often some small painting and wood work projects that can be done, and for sure general maintenance and
help around the house and with the animals.
If you are a skilled person and can take on responsibility for a more serious project (water drainage, rain water catching,) we can make special arrangements -

Volunteers are accommodated either in an apartment or the former wooden tool shed right by the sea, which are equipped with electricity, running water, kitchenette and own bathroom.

The seafront property ( yes we have a small private beach) is separated from the village by a river.
We use the neighbor's service of crossing it on a big raft.
In the village, which is less than a km away you can get basic groceries and eat out at the weekend.
Buses go to the next towns of Chiriqui Grande and Rambala (a cultural experience in itself! :-) and to David and Changuinola, the boardering cities to Costa Rica. \
From Chiriqui Grande there is a waterbus connecting to the touristic Bocas Islands.
There are mountains, rivers and waterfalls, and of course, the lagoon, which has lake qualities.
The area is rural with little tourism and mainly indigenous.
Day trips to Bocas Islands are NOT possible from here, but certainly an option as a weekend escape.
Despite "civilization" being nearby, you will get a sense of being removed from the rest of the world and get in rhythm with nature. This means early sleeping and early rising.
It is not a suitable place for heavy drinkers or regular marihuana consumers. -

She made a great PA, always taking notes and discussing the priorities of the day.
We had deep conversations and some good laughs. She is a good communicator, and for saying that she is not a dog person she got on so well with Fula!
