  Welcome to the beautiful Feldberg lake district :-)
  
  At the moment, I need help with the following:
  
  - Plumbing (repairs, maintenance)
  - Gardening – all sorts of tasks
  - Creating YouTube videos / social media / content creation
  - Photography
  - Tidying up / clearing out the barn
  
  From April 2026, I will be opening my small farm again to Workaway volunteers. The property is situated away from the village, almost in a secluded location, amidst the beautiful Feldberg lake district. The fallow deer herd can be seen having breakfast in the mornings and the red kite is raising its young in the neighbouring copse. There is a swimming lake behind the village; it takes me about 10 minutes to walk there. I have my own canoe (Canadian-style), which my helpers are welcome to use. On foot, with the boat trolley, it takes about 20 to 30 minutes to reach the next lake, from where you can then go on wonderful canoe trips across several lakes. The landscape here is predominantly flat and is also ideal for hiking and cycling. You’re welcome to borrow my two old bicycles. For people who enjoy spending time in unspoilt nature, this is a paradise. Right next to the farm are paddocks (the horses don’t belong to me). If you’re interested, you can take riding lessons in the village or go for a ride.
  
  I live a very nature-oriented life here as a self-sufficient person. I have been working as a survival trainer and wilderness educator for many years. In particular, I share my experience in the field of wild plants, wild herbs and the processing of wild game, which also includes natural tanning methods, i.e. the production of leather.
  
  At the moment, I urgently need someone who is well versed in plumbing and could carry out a few repairs (frost damage).
  
  People with a knack for DIY are always very welcome anyway :-) There’s always something to repair or build (raised beds and fences, for example) ;-)
  
  Furthermore, I can always use a hand in the garden. To help out in the garden, all you need is a willingness to get your hands dirty and do some physical work. You can learn everything there is to do in the garden with the right attitude. Now in spring, the focus is on digging over the beds, raking the lawn, planting strawberries and planting potatoes.
  
  I could also use help with creating YouTube videos, social media content, and photography. If you’re knowledgeable in these areas and would like to share your experience with me, I’d be delighted to have your support in this regard too.
  
  Then there’s a large barn and various other areas on the farm that urgently need clearing out and tidying up. Help with this is also very welcome.
  
  If you’d like to come here, I’d appreciate a mindful approach to the available resources, a general openness to self-sufficiency, upcycling and simple country life.
  
  I myself am a non-smoker and do not drink alcohol. Therefore, heavy smokers and people who wish to drink alcohol daily (this includes an evening beer by the campfire) or who use drugs are NOT welcome here. If you smoke only very occasionally, we can find a place where this is possible. Smoking is strictly prohibited in the accommodation itself.
  
  In exchange for around three hours of work on the farm each day, I provide a large room with a small kitchen and private toilet as accommodation for a maximum of two helpers. Unfortunately, I am unable to accommodate families with children at the moment.
  
  I generally prefer my helpers to cater for themselves, which is why I only expect three hours of work. A small kitchen is available. Whatever grows in the garden can, of course, be used by arrangement. Now, in spring, there isn’t much there yet, of course, but there are plenty of wild herbs. As a herbalist, I know my way around them very well and you can learn a lot about them here. For me, wild herbs are a natural part of my daily diet. From June onwards, there is fruit to pick everywhere, starting with strawberries and cherries, followed by mirabelle plums, plums, pears, apples and wild berries (blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, etc.). We will occasionally eat together, but not every day.
  
  If you’d like to come here, you’ll mainly have to organise your free time yourself. I’m happy to give you tips on things to do, but I’m not constantly available as an entertainer for my helpers ;-) Apart from nature and the horse farm, there’s nothing here! However, if you love nature, there are endless opportunities here to enjoy your time and have adventures :-)
  
  If you’re travelling here by car yourself, you’re also welcome to come for a day or two and, after a few hours of helping out, simply enjoy the beautiful countryside, go on a canoe trip, or do all sorts of other things....
  
  If you’re coming by public transport, you should plan to stay for several days, as I’ll then need to pick you up from the nearest bus station, which is 10 km away, and drive you back again. It has become clear that it makes little sense for me to pick someone up today, show them the ropes, and drive them back again tomorrow.
  
  Before you arrive, I’d like to have a chat with you on the phone to get to know you a bit and make clear arrangements regarding your stay here. It’s important to me that we communicate clearly in advance to avoid disappointment and misunderstandings. Over the last few years, I’ve had many wonderful people here on the farm with whom things have worked out really well, and I’m looking forward to new encounters and lovely evenings by the campfire :-)

  Ab April 2026 öffne ich meinen kleinen Hof wieder für Workaway – Helfer. Das Grundstück liegt abseits vom Dorf, fast in Alleinlage, inmitten der wunderschönen Feldberger Seenlandschaft. Das Damhirschrudel frühstückt morgens in Sichtweite und der Rotmilan zieht seine Jungen im benachbarten Wäldchen auf. Es gibt einen Badesee hinterm Dorf, bis dorthin laufe ich ungefähr 10 min. Ich habe ein eigenes Kanu (Kanadier), das von meinen Helfern auch gerne genutzt werden darf. Zu Fuß, mit dem Bootswagen, braucht man ungefähr 20 bis 30 min bis zum nächsten See von dem aus man dann wunderschöne Kanutouren über mehrere Seen machen kann. Die Landschaft ist hier überwiegend flach und eignet sich auch hervorragend für Wanderungen und Radtouren. Meine zwei alten Fahrräder können gerne ausgeliehen werden. Für Menschen die sich gerne in unberührter Natur aufhalten ist das hier ein Paradies. Direkt neben dem Hof befinden sich Pferdekoppeln (die Pferde gehören mir nicht). Bei Interesse kannst Du im Dorf Reitunterricht nehmen oder einen Ausritt machen.
  
  Ich lebe hier ein sehr naturverbundenes Leben als Selbstversorgerin. Seit vielen Jahren arbeite ich als Survivaltrainerin und Wildnispädagogin. Insbesondere teile ich meine Erfahrungen im Bereich Wildpflanzen, Wildkräuter und Wildtierverarbeitung, wozu auch natürliche Gerbverfahren, also die Herstellung von Leder gehört.
  
  Aktuell brauche ich dringend jemanden, der sich mit Sanitärinstallation gut auskennt und ein paar Reparaturen übernehmen könnte (Frostschaden).
  
  Menschen mit handwerklichem Geschick sind sowieso immer herzlich willkommen :-) Irgendetwas gibt es immer zu reparieren oder zu bauen (Hochbeete und Zäune zum Beispiel) ;-)
  
  Darüberhinaus kann ich ich immer Unterstützung im Garten gebrauchen. Um im Garten zu helfen brauchst Du lediglich die Bereitschaft Deine Hände dreckig zu machen und körperlich zu arbeiten. Alles was es im Garten zu tun gibt, kannst Du mit der entsprechenden Offenheit lernen. Jetzt im Frühling geht es darum Beete umzugraben, die Wiese auszuharken, Erdbeeren zu pflanzen und Kartoffeln zu setzen.
  
  Außerdem kann ich Hilfe beim Erstellen von Youtube Videos / Social Media / Content Creation und Fotografie gebrauchen. Wenn Du Dich damit gut auskennst und Deine Erfahrungen mit mir teilen möchtest freue ich mich auch in diesem Bereich über Unterstützung.
  
  Dann gibt es noch eine große Scheune und diverse andere Orte auf dem Hof, die dringend ausgemistet und aufgeräumt werden müssen. Auch hierfür ist Hilfe herzlich willkommen.
  
  Wenn Du herkommen möchtest, wünsche ich mir einen achtsamen Umgang mit den vorhanden Ressourcen, generelle Offenheit für Selbstversorgung, Upcycling und einfaches Landleben.
  
  Ich selbst bin Nichtraucherin und trinke keinen Alkohol. Deshalb sind starke Raucher und Menschen die täglich Alkohol trinken möchten (damit ist auch das abendliche Bier am Lagerfeuer gemeint) oder Drogen konsumieren hier NICHT willkommen. Wenn Du nur sehr wenig rauchst, finden wir einen Ort an dem das möglich ist. In der Unterkunft selber ist Rauchen grundsätzlich verboten.
  
  Für täglich ca. drei Stunden Mitarbeit auf dem Hof stelle ich ein großes Zimmer mit einer kleinen Küche und eigener Toilette für max. zwei Helfer als Unterkunft zur Verfügung. Familien mit Kindern kann ich momentan leider nicht aufnehmen.
  
  Mir ist es generell lieber, wenn meine Helfer sich selber verpflegen, deswegen erwarte ich auch nur drei Stunden Mitarbeit. Eine kleine Küche steht zur Verfügung. Was im Garten wächst kann, nach Absprache, natürlich gerne genutzt werden. Jetzt, im Frühling, ist da natürlich noch nicht viel, aber es gibt reichlich Wildkräuter. Als Kräuterfrau kenne ich mich damit sehr gut aus und Du kannst hier viel darüber lernen. Für mich sind Wildkräuter ein selbstverständlicher Teil meiner täglichen Ernährung. Ab Juni gibt es überall Obst zu pflücken, das fängt mit Erdbeeren und Kirschen an, dann gibt es Mirabellen, Pflaumen, Birnen, Äpfel, Wildobst (Heidelbeeren, Himbeeren, Brombeeren etc.). Gelegentlich werden wir auch gemeinsam Essen, aber eben nicht täglich.
  
  Wenn Du herkommen möchtest, musst Du Deine Freizeit überwiegend selber organisieren. Gerne gebe ich Dir Tipps für Unternehmungen, stehe aber nicht ständig als Entertainerin für meine Helfer zur Verfügung ;-) Außer Natur und dem Pferdehof gibt es hier nichts! Wenn Du allerdings die Natur liebst gibt es hier unendlich viele Möglichkeiten Deine Zeit zu genießen und Abenteuer zu erleben :-)
  
  Wenn Du mit dem Auto selber anreist, kannst Du auch gerne für ein oder zwei Tage herkommen und nach ein paar Stunden Mithilfe einfach das schöne Landleben genießen oder ein Kanutour machen oder oder oder ....
  
  Kommst Du mit dem ÖPNV, solltest Du mehrere Tage Aufenthalt einplanen, da ich Dich dann von der nächsten Busstation, die 10 km entfernt ist, abholen und Dich auch wieder zurückfahren muss. Es hat sich gezeigt, daß es für mich wenig Sinn macht jemanden heute abzuholen, einzuweisen und morgen wieder zurückzufahren.
  
  Bevor Du herkommst möchte ich gerne einmal mit Dir telefonieren um Dich etwas kennenzulernen und klare Absprachen bezüglich Deines Aufenthaltes hier zu treffen. Mir ist es wichtig, daß wir im Vorfeld klar kommunizieren um Enttäuschungen und Mißverständnisse zu vermeiden. In den letzten Jahren hatte ich viele wunderbare Menschen hier auf dem Hof mit denen das super geklappt hat und freue mich auf neue Begegnungen und schöne Abende am Lagerfeuer :-)
  
  P.S. Ich bin selber schon viele Male als Workaway - Helfer im Ausland unterwegs gewesen und kenne somit beide Seiten von Workaway :-)

  I am always happy to make a nice canoe trip with my guests :-) If you enjoy nature there are a million possibilities to enjoy your free time. I am teaching Wild Eatabile and Medicinal Plants, so you have the opportunity to learn something about it, while working together with me in the garden.
  
  If I am teaching classes during your stay, you might able to participate, but don't expect this. Workaway is not about getting free workshops. Sometimes it just fits and sometimes not. I don't promise you anything than hard work, shelter, free use of my canoe (still you have to ask me) and enjoying nature in one of the most beautiful areas of Germany on an amazing place!
  
  Everything has its time, in spring and summer I focus more on the garden and holding classes. In fall and winter I spent more time with tanning and practice wilderness and survival skills by myself.
  
  And whenever its possibel I am a traveler and workawayer too :-))))

There are lots of normal things to do, like cleaning, preparing things, cooking and other daily tasks. After a carefull introduction in your tasks you will help independent. I dont count hours - for me it is more important, that the tasks are WELL done and most of the days you can make your own timetable.

After accepting you as workawayer, you will get clear instruction from which trainstation we will pick you up. For organising flights or traintickets use Berlin as destination. Since I am an experienced travellers too, I can help you to organize your travel to us.

  Es gibt kein Festnetz-Internet. Internet ist nur über Hot-Spot möglich (5G) Das funktioniert generell gut, es gibt aber auch Tage / Stunden, an denen es nicht ganz zuverlässig funktioniert. Völlige Ausfälle sind inzwischen sehr selten. Ich nutze ausschließlich Hot-Spot im E-Plus Netz (O2 und Aldi Talk) und das funktioniert sehr gut. Wahrscheinlich ist es etwas langsamer als ein Festnetz- Internet.
