Very nice and friendly family! We really enjoyed their stay at our farm :-) the two girls became friends with our kids fast and spent a lot of time together. But the girls took over some tasks in the daily routine as well as. All family members helped out with a lot of enthusiasm and effort everywhere, in the garden, with the animals etc. We
… read more specially appreciated that they can follow instructions as well as taking over jobs in a proactive manner and see where help is needed, and everything without being intrusive :-) we enjoyed spending free time together as well. Overall a great experience and we recommend the family as workawayer! :-)
We spent a whole month with this lovely family in August 2023.
Adalina and Klemens were very welcoming right from the start.
We lived in their caravan, which was just right for our family of 4.
We helped around the farm, our first task was to build the natural fence for ducks and gooses.
We also helped with other animals (donkeys), baked some
… read more bread and pizza together, picked blackberries for jams.
We loved the trip to the lake and all other activities.
Kids became a very good friends and even when spoke different languages, they managed to prepare music show for us!
That was an amazing workaway stay, we still keep in touch and hope to meet our host again in the future!

Ilse was a great help on our farm and we were very happy to have her here. 😊 We asked Ilse to take care of our animals while we were away for 10 days. She arrived a few days befor our departure, so we had time to explain her everything. Ilse learned everything very fast, specially when it came to how to take care of the animals. We specially
… read more appreciated that she would allways ask, if something was not completly clear. So we were sure, that our farm would be in good hands when we left. 😊 During our time away Ilse did a great job as well, did even more then we had asked her to do and updated us regularly on how it was going. When we came back we found everything very clean and she had even prepared some delicious sweets! 😊
We wish Ilse all the best for her coming workaways! And would be really happy to meet again 😊

I looked out for all the animals Adelina and Klemen's own and the garden while they were on holiday to Rome for a while. I extended my stay for a few more weeks afterwards, because I fell in love with Italy and its nature! The area is absolutely stunning and way nicer than I expected. … read more it comes to what you'd like to do and learn for your workaway/and when it comes to working hours. Which for me was mostly taking care of the animals, walking the dogs and do some gardening!
For me it was a perfect balance between spending time alone/with the animals and the family. We had food together from time to time, I could always join them if they went on trips, they were so sweet to invite me to all the (pizza) parties they had and introduced me to all their friends but they were also completely fine with me needing time alone.
Also everything was very well arranged while they were gone, they spend a lot of time explaining everything and informing friends, exchanging numbers etc in case something might happen. I felt very safe and for me I got exactly out of this workaway what I was looking for: Spending time alone/offline and in nature. Thanks for everything, I'm very grateful for this experience!

We spent two and a half weeks on Clemens and Adelina permacultur yard. Both of them are very open, warmhearted and helpful. They provided us with a very nice trailer with wonderful reading about permaculture and terra Preta. Since we were there in August it was very hot, I spent most of the free time reading this books in the shade. I am very
… read more thankful for the impression I got about permaculture through the books and through working on the farm. At the end I received my own small project and I was allowed to build a wild wooden hedge myself. My friend (Jerry), who makes videos professionally, got to use his talents and made a video about the yard. it was a very nice time and we really enjoyed the time with you and the animals and the beautiful surroundings. Julien and I spent almost 3 weeks with Adelina Klemens and their three children near Levice. We feel very lucky they contacted us and are truly glad we have had the chance to meet this family and their vision of life. Adelina and Klemens are really nice and always there if you need anything. We stayed in their huge caravan and it was very comfy
… read more (only small dry toilet inside and shower in the guest house). We had a lot of free time since it was only 3 hours of work per day (you have to buy your own food). Levice is a lovely village and we also went to the beach in Savona and to Alba and Cortemilia. Torino is not too far either.
A basic day consisted in working in the morning (clean stables, pick fruits and vegetables, take care of animals, cook, play with kids, build a fence, woodwork...) then lunch and free time. Living there was very relaxing and we got to see a different way of life with plenty different projects going on. There were two other Workawayers (staying in the guest house) who were extremely nice too and we had some amazing time together !!

He didn't have a lot of experience with farmwork, but he's intressted in everything and learnd quickly. Wow what an experience! We spent 4 weeks with wonderful family and had an amazing time. Adellina and Klemens were perfect hosts and made us feel like a family from the moment we arrived. They have 3 great children and we enjoyed spending time playing and teaching them English, helping with animals on the farm, gardening, walking their lovely dogs.
… read more We enjoyed cooking together and making pizzas in a wood burning pizza oven, which was amazing experience and really great taste. Adellina is a great baker, her cakes are made from the finest ingredients and local produce. Klemens is very initiative and has great ideas to improve their farm. They both are very passionate about permaculture farming and shared their vision and ideas.
