  we are a family of 3 in vienna, austria and live in a nice old house w garden, animals, vegetables and fruit trees, only 15 minutes by subway from the center of vienna. the vienna woods start a few blocks up the hill, with endless space for hiking, bike trails and getting lost. if you like gardening and maintenance work and would like to look after our young, very shy dog zazee, plus want to explore the wonderful life of vienna, you are most welcome to stay with us.
  
  in the springtime we concentrate on planting and weeding, in the summer and fall we are busy harvesting, canning and making pear and grape juice and watering the garden. and zazee wants to go to the near forest every day.
  we have some very nice neighbours. you can stay in your own room and all your food is on us. internet, netflix, beamer - all here. you can speak english or german with us. we would like to learn spanish and french.
  BUT: we can only accept travellers who stay at least 3-4 weeks because of our dog - it takes time to earn her trust. please only write if you plan to stay long term.
  as we get a lot of requests, please understand that i can not answer all of them, i am very sorry.

  we are a very open minded family, i am a doc filmmaker, we love nature, animals, food, movies and political discussions. our neighbours are super sweet and helpful - we share the garden

  the whole city is literally at your feet, easily accessible by subway or bicycle. there is a great music scene, hiking, biking, swimming, museums, art. if you like the combination of country feeling w an old and modern city w lots of activities, vienna is your place for a summer adventure. trips to budapest and prague are easy and cheap by train or bus.
  we have fast internet, a great beamer, and love watching good films together in the evening.
  the kids are 15 and 19.
  its a nice house and lots of family life and all that comes with it. you do have your private room and we are easy going people regarding schedule and tasks, as long as the spirits are good. you are very flexible w public transportation, the bus stop is only 2 minutes away. last subway from the center is at 1 pm, weekends trains run all night long.
  you can also take a bycicle.
