Our resort is a 200 ha agro-eco resort. We are located on the north western tip of Lake Toba, the largest crater lake in the world, in the province of North Sumatra, Indonesia. Situated 1500m above sea level with tropical highland climate, we are a perfect choice for those looking to enjoy the beauty of nature and local Batak culture immersion, away from the hustle and bustle of hectic life.
We have guests from all over the world providing interesting cultural exchange experiences. In addition to expecting typical creature comfort of a resort accommodation, our guests look forward to acquiring unforgettable nature, cultural and physical experiences during their stay with us.
We are gradually turning one of the accommodation zone at the resort into a wellness retreat. With help from like-minded volunteers, we are experimenting with various aspects to nail the perfect wellness offerings for health conscious as well as environmentally conscious guests.
We are also hoping to raise the exposure and service delivery aspects of our local staff by having regular pool of international volunteers to improve their awareness of international service standards.

For international volunteers, particularly those of you who are passionate about nature, culture and life in general, you can look forward to exciting life experiences mingling with our international visitors as well as local staff and villagers.
You will be mesmerized by the beauty of surroundings, the warmth of our people. At the same time, you may be exasperated and/ or amused by the perceived lack of efficiencies and productivities due to more laid back attitude and slower pace of life here.
Due to our location n access constraints, only volunteers who can commit for 1 month or more will be considered. Those who can stay for longer period (we are open to offering small local rate allowance for long stayers) will be given priority.
In terms of skills, we are looking at someone who can assist with offering yoga lessons (for guests and staff).
As part of guest experience at our mountain resort which are pretty isolated, those with leadership, organisation skills and nature tour guiding experience can help with the management, coordination, staff training and conducting activities for our guests.
Those who are passionate to help us start local community engagement activities (preferably with NGO experience and must be able to work and explore independently) are also welcomed.

Be prepared to stay secluded at the resort during your free time but we shall try our best to arrange time off of a stretch of a few days for you. During this time off, you may want to visit places like Berastagi, Kaban Jahe, jetty shore Tigaras. Nearby tourist attractions include Sipiso Piso Waterfall, Samosir Island, Berastagi town. There are also interesting local villages like fishing village in Tongging or agricultural based villages in Kaban Jahe. Volcano enthusiasts may catch active Sinabung or trek up dormant Mt Sibayak.
