Hello friends workawayers,
We need help in our citrus garden for trees care and cleaning around the field, also ake care of the vegetable garden.
Minimum stay two weeks.
We offer accommodation, breakfast and one meal per day. 5-day work for 5 hours per day.We are located in the northwest of Chios Island. Around the area, there are small picturesque villages and the largest of them is Volissos (old medieval village with about 300 inhabitants).
There is a doctor's office, pharmacy, post office, ATM, mini market. In the surrounding area, there are many beautiful trails for those who love nature exploration, historical medieval monuments with a long history and the place where the volunteers are hosted is near to the sea.
In Chios Island in general a volunteer can learn and see many things (history through the ages, wine and mastic cultivation, museums e.t.c.)
We can also accept couples of volunteers.
We accept dogs but not cats.
We will be happy to host you and give you further information.

First of all, you will travel to a large island in Greece, which is not known for the entertainment of tourists, but mainly for gaining experiences and knowledge about its history, culture, traditions and lifestyle of the inhabitants. For those interested there are many historical monuments, also special local cuisine. The history and cultivation of mastic (visit Museum for Mastic) and also of the famous Chios wine (visit winery). Also, those who love hiking can enjoy exploration of some traditional paths around the area. On the other hand, we also want to know about life in the countries where the volunteers come from, their customs and daily habits (their food, their jobs, their history, their music).
