Our company organises programmes that bring together a group of volunteer native English speakers and a group of Spaniards for a week in a four star hotel.
The goal of the programme is for Spaniards to speak English and improve their capacity to communicate in English.
Volunteers get free *️️️*️️️*️️️*️️️ hotel accommodation and meals during the week.
In exchange, we ask you to take part in activities such as one-to-ones, telephone calls, group conversations, etc.

Volunteers will benefit from meeting interesting Spanish people from all walks of life in a friendly and positive atmosphere. During their stay, travellers will get a good insight into the diverse Spanish culture and Mediterranean lifestyle. Participants will also get to try the local gastronomy in a nice 4 star hotel.
At the same time, our programmes take place in beautiful venues around Spain and during the week we also offer a guided tour of the villages.

As a Volunteer native English speaker, your role is to take part in different activities and speak English with Spanish participants, in the most natural way possible.
On the first day we organise a few icebreaker activities in the afternoon in order to get to know all the participants in the course. The rest of days you will take part in one-to-one conversations with Spanish participants in the morning and a couple of activities in the afternoon such as a photomarathon or a group conversation. We also provide optional night entertainment activities most nights, such as a quiz.
Volunteers do not have to work as English teachers but simply to take part in conversations and games, speaking in English while having fun. Please note that all volunteers must be native English speakers.
One of the days we go on a guided tour around the village where volunteers have the opportunity to learn about the history and traditions of the area. On the last day you take part in 2 one-to-one conversations and then we watch a slideshow with pictures from the week. Finally, we hold a small goodbye ceremony which includes a "tapas" lunch and drinks and we award all participants with a diploma certifying their volunteer work.
We believe our programmes are well designed and they are organised by a professional coordinator who works full time to make sure the week is sucessful for everyone.
Bear in mind though, that outside the formal activities you will spent most of the time socialising in English with other participants (Spaniards and Native English speakers), including breakfast, lunch and dinner. If you do not like socialising or think of it as a chore, then this programme is definitely not for you!
During your stay you are accommodated in a single en-suite room in a 4 star hotel, full-board in charming locations in Villajoyosa (Alicante), Mengíbar Palace (Jaén) or the Monfragüe National Park (Extremadura). Transportation from Madrid (for programmes in Jaén or Extremadura) or Alicante city (for programmes in Alicante) is also included.
By participating in one of our programmes, volunteers have the opportunity to gain Spanish culture and way of life without having to speak Spanish. Volunteers tell us the programme is intensive but also a very rewarding experience, and most participants make lots of new friends as well.
Please note you have to be 24 or older to take part in one of our programmes.

Yes, as others have mentioned, you are working a full day, but it feels more like a summer camp than work. I am so glad I was given the opportunity to volunteer with this program. My experience was great and very memorable. It was very rewarding to help the Spanish speakers improve their English. I was at a winter 2015 session and found the program unique, rigorous, and fun as a volunteer teacher. The students were hard-working and engaged and there wasn't one wasted moment for an enjoyable exchange. Great Workaway experience and I recommend it for Americans whole-heartedly!

I took part in the August 2013 programme and had the most amazing experience with the local Spanish people and native english speakers. I learnt a lot about Spain, Spanish culture, festivals, communities, dance and music! Javier and Cari are great hosts! I would definitely recommend this programme and experience :)
