  We are a regenerative farm in central Portugal of 6ha, we have our veggie garden, many fruit trees and we also do olive oil and wine from our produce.
  The 6-hectare area is located on terraces, offering beautiful views and a wide variety of landscapes, from forests to pastures and fields.
  In august 2025 huge wildfires devastated Central Portugal and unfortunately also our land.
  We need help in everyday farm life - taking care of land and help in garden, depending on time of year : e.g. prunning, olive picking, gardening, streamming, woodchipping etc.

So at the moment we need extra pairs of hand to cut what was burned, pile it or carry. Prepare land for reforestation, in 2026 we would like to plant trees and plants to help the land regenerate and be diverse. We also sow green pastures to keep the fertility of our land.
  
  We are both originally from Poland but we chose this little piece of land in stone village, surrounded by streams, rivers and mountains.
  Gosia is interpreter-translator and also a yoga teacher in the village. She lives in Portugal since 2007, and moved from Lisbon to the countryside in 2021. She appreciate the local culture and gain experience as a farmer.
  Blazej runs his publishing house and is a life coach. Having experienced farmlife with his grandparents he is now back to the roots putting in practice his experience.
  We live on the farm with our dog Ziggy, three sheep, and few hens and roosters.
  
  You will be hosted in our stone house in the center of the village - about 5-10min walk from the Farm.
  The agenda would be 5 days a week coming to the Farm for a daily work and lunch. Having your own dinner in the house, unless we agree together on a different agenda on specific days. We are happy to share our experience and time together. At the same time we also appreciate our private time as a family, so we can´t offer a 24h companionship.

  Our farm is situated in a village in Portugal, that has a typical traditional community, and offers a lot of small events - specially around summer.
  In the area there is a vibrant foreign community that decided to come for a more conscious life. There are monthly markets, yoga classes, dances etc.
  It is old stone village with beautiful river beach, shop, cafe and a restaurant, that gets quite busy in the summer.
  
  We practice yoga and Gosia teaches yoga in the nearby village. Blazej is editor and certified coach. We both studied languages and speak few of them.
  
  We both used to live in the city so there are things we are still discovering ourselves in the countryside, but we are happy to share some of this experience.

  Ayuda

  Depending on the season: help in the garden, weeding, woodchiping, prunning, helping with the animals (chicken, sheep) etc.
  Soon we will also need help in small DIYs etc.
  At the moment it is dealing with the fire from summer 2025 consequences . This means regenerating the land and its fertility. Cutting dead bushes, trees, brunches. Piling them , transporting, chipping. Preparing to plant trees for reforestation of the land.

  Alojamiento

  A place in stone house in the village, 5/10minutes from our farm, and 5 minutes from the beach.
  Other volunteers (if there are any) will be staying at the house as well.
  There is also kitchen, bathroom and a balcony.
  You have your own kitchen. We offer meals - breakfast and lunch on the workdays (or we prepare them together) and products for dinner that you can prepare yourself.

  You need to get the bus to Vendas de Galizes - check rede-expressos.pt (from Porto or Lisbon or Coimbra), and we pick you up there. (We are in the zone of Oliveira do Hospital)

  We have a good wi-fi connection. But we require a commitment of 5 days per week of about 5-6 hours per day so you would have to see if this is compatible with your online work.
