  Experiment the French countryside in a modern house
  
  Hi Champagne travelers !
  I’m a Valérie, 60 yo and I live by myself in a modern home in the countryside of the “Marne” 45min away from Reims and 10min away from Châlons-en-Champagne
  I have 2 adult daughters, one leaving in Sallanches in the french Alps and the other traveling and being a helper abroad, mainly in Canada !
  I have a large plot of land around my house, a small orchard and a lot of shrubs and plants.
  I’ve rented my daughter’s room for several years during summer time so I'm used to welcome people in my house and have cultural exchanges . But during spring and autum, it’s hard to take care of the property by myself and that’s why I would be keen on welcoming from time to time some helpers !
  
  I prioritise short stays of 2 weeks - mainly during March, April, October, November. Or cats/home keeping when I am traveling.

  We will share our way of life ! I will explain you the different help you can provide and we will share the different tasks to do. So you can practice your french ! I will show you some french recipes, and will be glad to know yours ! As we are in Champagne, I will also show you the wineyards, organize visit of some cellars and museums. The area is well know as well for history sites, 1st and 2nd world wars and visits can be organized. We are also a region of big lakes (articicial ones) with wild nature arround. Reims and Troyes are not far away are very nice to visit : architecture, cathedrales, market places, tools museum, mordern art museums, bid outlet retail parks...etc

  Ayuda

  The tasks asked are not complicated and depend on the period of the year. It can be outside for taking care of the garden, collecting leaves, mowing, pruning trees, taking care of the pool
  I could need some help inside as well keeping the house clean, helping on some creative projects like painting or other small tasks.
  
  Workawayers won't be helping with any tasks related to the rentals.
  
  Nothing that requires particular skills, it helps if you are handy and like helping outside. I am not fixed about the schedule, it can be an average of 4h a day 5d/ out of 7 days, sometimes it can be on the weekends if we do tasks together in the garden, but i’m flexible in order to let you enjoy your stay as well !

  Alojamiento

  You would stay on the first floor with your own room and bathroom and we share the rest of the house. There’s Wi-Fi and the television.
  
  You would be provided 3 meals a day, sometimes taken together, sometimes by yourself if i’m at work

  Algo más...

  As we live in the countryside it would help if you have your own car but can arrange to pick you up in Châlons-en-Champagne or in Reims.
  I also have a bike that you can borrow.
  While you’re here you can visit some champagne vineyards that are 20min away, go to the Lac du Der … I will give you lots of tourism advice !
  
  Last thing, you must like cats cause the 2 i have will be around much, even helping you in the garden !
