Welcome to our place!
It is more than just a place where we live – it is our passion and our home. In 2006, my family and I moved here from Switzerland to create this wonderful farm. Situated on our 5 hectares of land in the breathtaking surroundings of Illmensee, Judentenberg, near the Pfrunger-Burgweiler Ried and Lake Constance, we have crafted a place that we nurture with heart and enthusiasm.
As enthusiastic riders and nature lovers, our goal is to harmonize animals and nature. Our horses reside in an open stable, allowing them to move freely and granting them access to spacious pastures. We take pride in being a certified organic farm, where animal welfare is central, and thus, we let all our animals roam freely except for the horses and our dog. Our horses are not just companions; they are our friends and mentors. We warmly invite you to become a part of this special community.
A stay at here offers you the opportunity to savor and experience life in the countryside to the fullest. Apart from riding, our farm offers a wide range of activities, such as hiking in the Pfrunger-Burgweiler Ried, cycling, swimming in Lake Illmensee or Lake Ruschweiler, slacklining, or a trip to Lake Constance, and much more. Our farm is a place of friendship, connection, and shared learning.
We firmly believe that humans and animals can coexist in harmony, and our farm is a testament to that. We are thrilled to welcome you to our whole family and share with you the beauty of these special beings and nature. Let yourself be enchanted by the magic of this place and experience an unforgettable time with us.

Intercambio cultural y oportunidades de aprendizaje
We place great emphasis on cultural exchange and learning together. The courtyard is well-frequented with visitors, whether they be horse-riding children or friends, but there is always something going on. Grill evenings with friends are also a recurring occurrence in the summer. When the children are at home, they enjoy inviting friends to sit around a bonfire and spend time together.
Our farm offers a variety of learning opportunities. You can learn a lot about horses, ducks, chickens and all the other farm animals. You can also improve your riding skills, and learn the basics of ground work with horses. However, this should be clarified beforehand, as we also need the horses to give riding lessons and we also have riding partners. To make the most of our harvest throughout the year, we process it into juices, jams, syrup, apple juice and more. We don't sell our products to sustain ourselves throughout the year. This means you can constantly enjoy the wonderful taste of elderberry syrup and other treats from the farm.
Luca, one of my sons, is landscape gardener and specialized in natural or ecological gardening. He will be happy to teach you his knowledge of herbalism, and horticultural techniques, both in theory and in practice. But of course only if he is around.
Your stay at here will provide you with a unique opportunity to learn practical skills and expand your knowledge beyond cultural exchanges. We are excited to welcome you into our vibrant community to learn, grow and enjoy the joys of country living together.Ayuda
What we are looking for:
We welcome travel-loving, nature-loving people who are good with animals and not afraid of physically demanding work. Our work requires commitment and teamwork to keep the farm running smoothly.
Work to be done:
In the mornings and evenings, the animals must be cared for, which includes mucking out the barn, letting the animals out or bringing them into the barn, and feeding them.
In addition, the pastures and large areas need to be maintained or mowed. There are always repairs to the fence or house, the garden should be maintained and plowed, bushes trimmed, weeds pulled, wood chopped or taken from the forest, the barn and the house need to be painted from time to time and much more
In addition, apples, berries or vegetables need to be harvested. The work varies and always adapts somewhat to the season.
We are looking for motivated people who are willing to take on these tasks and become part of our community. If you love nature, enjoy working outdoors, and have a knack for animal care, you've come to the right place.Idiomas hablados

During your stay with us, you will be accommodated in our house and will have your own room. Your room is well equipped with a desk and dresser. Our house is spread over three floors, and each floor has a bathroom. There are even two bathrooms to choose from on the second floor, so you can pick the one you like best.
The kitchen is located on the lower floor and is at your free disposal. We like to offer breakfast and dinner. For lunch, everyone is looking for himself, depending on his needs and time. However, our meal times are often flexible and can vary depending on our daily schedule. In our family, we take turns cooking, so each of us has the opportunity to show off our culinary skills. We always coordinate and make sure delicious food is provided.
We want to make sure you feel right at home and look forward to welcoming you.Algo más...
Our family:
The place is not only our home, but also a place where our family comes together, works and spends time together. Of my five children, two currently live permanently on the farm.
Noah, our 19-year-old son, is just about to graduate from high school. In addition to his school commitments, he spends a lot of time with his mixer and is a passionate techno DJ. He also hosts occasional parties with his collective.
Eileen, 23, gives riding lessons at the farm and studies business management in Weingarten. Her passion for horses and riding is an integral part of our farm life.
Although Luca (29), Jill Ena (25) and Manuel (31) no longer live permanently on the farm, they are always happy to help out when there is a lot of work to be done.
Jill Ena works as a nurse in Switzerland at Lake Constance. However, her deep connection to horses brings her to the farm regularly, as she misses riding very much.
Luca is a trained landscape gardener who takes care of our farm's garden. His ecological and nature-oriented approach to gardening is impressive. He is currently deepening his knowledge by studying to become a landscape architect/landscape planner at the Technical University of Munich and supports the farm whenever he has time or his skills are needed.
Manuel has completed an apprenticeship as a trade fair event specialist and is currently studying interior design in Dortmund. Due to the distance, he unfortunately comes to the courtyard the least often, but when he does, it is always an enriching time.
Last but not least, me Rahel
I am a trained horse trainer, riding instructor, and certified gestalt therapist. My passion lies in the connection between humans and horses, especially in equine-assisted coaching. Through my work, I aim to teach people not only how to ride but also to foster emotional connections and facilitate personal growth:
We are a very colorful and diverse family that has a good coexistence. We do a lot together and get friends to join us, so that we are a big troop. It is a place to come together and be together. It won't take you long to be captivated by the atmosphere of this place.
Location and Accessibility:
The Place is situated in a secluded natural setting, with the nearest store approximately 4 kilometers away. If you'd like to do some shopping, feel free to jot down a list, and we'll be happy to pick up everything for you.
The closest bus stop is about 2 kilometers away, but there's no need to worry – we typically have someone available who can give you a ride to or from the bus stop if the weather isn't suitable for biking. We are a friendly and helpful community that ensures you feel comfortable and well taken care of.
From time to time we also have children's camps and are always looking for motivated people who are good with children or can teach English. However, the week includes more than 4 hours per day and should be negotiated outside of Workaway. If you are interested, please leave a message.Un poco más de información

The help is simple and relaxing. The horses are as sweet as the cats. Rahel's is a perfect host, calm, funny and interesting. Her kids are also a lot of fun. I hope to come back one day.
