This was my first workaway and I could not have asked for a better experience! I was originally planning on staying 2 weeks but decided to extend it to 3 because I enjoyed it so much.
Veronika and Pavel are incredibly kind, open, accommodating, and thoughtful, they really made me feel like a part of the family. Anežka (their 5 year old daughter)

Aisha, their dog, is also extremely energetic and a joy to be around. Their house is really cozy and clean. Veronika and Pavel went out of their way to get me food that worked with my dietary restrictions, they let me use their laptop when mine suddenly stopped working, and they took me on a trip to Poland.
The entire school is a close-knit community, there are currently around 50 kids and you can get to know each one throughout your stay. Each child is truly unique and it’s a joy to see each of their personalities. Some will also shock you by how intelligent they are, you will learn just as much from the kids as they learn from you! They were really excited about a visitor from abroad, they’re really curious and asked me lots of questions. The staff were all super kind, and made an effort to get to know me even though some were shy to speak English.
The work you will be doing is very flexible, depending on your skill set and what you want to do. You can sit in other teachers classes as a student, you can teach classes with materials that other teachers have prepared, or you can prepare and teach your own classes. Different teachers will be asking you to join their classes, and you definitely should! The classes that I joined / helped / taught were English, PE, Geography, IT, and Science.
Although it’s a small town, there are many interesting cities nearby! Budapest, Vienna, Bratislava, and Brno are all just a few hours away by train, and you can easily visit them.Dejado por el anfitrión para el workawayer (Daniel)
Hosting Daniel was our first experience with Workaway! He has proven to be a great help to our school. Initially he was supposed to stay for two weeks, but as soon as he found out that we had been short staffed he didn't hesitate and offered to stay with us longer.
We couldn't have asked for more enthusiastic and empathetic person. Daniel has a

He was also a pleasant guest in our family. He would always help with anything needed. Our five year-old loved spending time with him and learned many English words from him.
We hope he enjoyed our company as much as we did and hope to see him again in the future!
