English speaking, artsy woman to help with the family and art projects in Pont-Aven, France

  Hello dear travelers!
  
  My name is Louise, I’m French and now live in the picturesque village of Pont Aven in south Britanny. It’s known for the nabis school of art and it’s full of art galleries, little shops, nice terrasses and restaurants, it’s close to
  the ocean too. Before Bretagne I lived in the Netherlands, Belgium and a tiny bit in the UK and I love( and sometimes miss) meeting new people from all over the place.
  My interests are arts, music ( from post punk to blues, psychedelic rock, brit rock… ), gardening in my tiny garden, reading, being involved in my local community, I’m also pretty active in the Breton speaking community which is our local native language (which me and my daughter speak) and spending time with my friends.
  I’m a single mother to a 4 years old girl named Fi, she’s wild and a true pixie that loves playing ball, being outside, and painting to name a few. She’s bilingual French and English and also understand some Dutch, she’s also learning Breton in school now.
  
  We live in a little house with a garden, it’s simple but nice and a bicycle ride away from the city center as well as nature trails, rivers, beaches…
  
  I’m a working single mom, my schedule is somewhat flexible but also demanding and I would like is somebody to be around and give me a hand with my daughter so I can get some things done and also get a break sometimes ahah.
  
  I wish I had time to get back into painting, hunting vintage treasures, taking analog pictures!
  It would be great to have somebody with us with shared interest, maybe you’re an artist, art student that wants a place to create, if you’re a musician you’re welcome to practice your instrument too,( we have a piano) if you just want to explore the area that’s fine too!
  As of spring 2025: I’m also taking part in a local artistic event taking place on june 15th, if someone wish to help me create land art and other whimsical creations for the event, you’re welcome !
  
  Being a little family with a young kid we definitely rise early and have early nights, the house is loud ( sometime), messy (most of the time), there is often friends coming by and staying over, more children, so yeah be prepared for some chaos, and you should be a little bit wild yourself to enjoy the ride!
  
  I would like somebody with experience with children, that is really enjoying spending time around kids. Somebody that can play with duplos and legos, read books, play outside etc
  I would LOVE somebody to speak English with my daughter ( and I) so she can keep practicing, Dutch is a plus.
  
  What I offer: a bedroom with currently a bunk bed and space for a desk and we can adapt it to your needs.
  A shared bathroom with a bathtub. I’m cool with cooking meals ( we’re a mostly plant based household) but you’re free to help yourself to the fridge.
  For transportation we have an electric bike and a regular bike that are available for you to use.
  Basically we live a simple life, nothing fancy.
  
  My job being flexible and being lucky enough a village to help me raise my daughter , we can work out a schedule that works for everybody.

  The city of Pont Aven is a great place for art lovers, it’s beautiful and picturesque but also has a brand new art museum, art galleries, book stores, brocantes and more if you want to surround yourself with inspiration. A trowstone away you’ll find the sandy beaches of le pouldu or nevez, the fortified city of concarneau…
  
  I hope I can share with you my love for arts and music, and mostly to just hang around and chat about the last book you read, the weather or life!

  Alojamiento

  I live with my daughter in a 70m2 house with a front and back garden, it’s situated in a small neighborhood in a pretty green area, you can walk to the nearest bakery, veggie farm, cafe or bike (5minutes) to the city center and supermarket.
  The bedrooms are upstairs with a shared toilets and bathroom. Your room has bunk bed and space for a dresser and desk but we can arrange the soace to fir your needs!
  As for meals, I enjoy cooking dishes like vegetarian lasagna, curry, pizza, couscous…
  I love a cheese plate with some wine too of course!
  Having a kid I home cook every meal, sometimes more basic than others.
  We are mostly plant based, we eat eggs, I buy fish sometimes, I buy organic local butcher meat occasionally. Every diet is accepted here, but I’d say we’re on the healthy side so expect snacks that are weird cookies with seeds in it, nuts and the occasional algua. Yeah…
  If that’s fine with you and you vibe with tofu and almond butter but also like some good old bread and cheese ( Bonjour France), sea food extravaganza, good wine….
  
  So my offer would be to cook, I can buy stuff you like sometimes… it’s flexible
