Hi, my name is Diana. I live in Longmont (15 min north of boulder) with my husband, Calvin, and our two animals (cat + dog). We love to hike, mountain bike, snowboard, and see live music (typical Coloradans haha). We are looking for some care for our pets when we are on vacation.
Our dog, Kuja, is very sweet and eager to please. She's 7 years old and is pretty low maintenance.
Our cat, Jean Luc is a freak about his wet food, a total crack head, but is very affectionate otherwise. He loves to cuddle and be picked up.Tipos de ayuda y oportunidades de aprendizaje

Come see what Longmont/Boulder is about! It's a very cute part of Colorado.

We are looking for someone to take care of our pets and house in September (we can be flexible on dates if you need to stay longer but 13th-28th is required), in return you are welcome to stay at our home.
We expect that you:
-feed/water the animals
-take Kuja for a walk once a day
-spend some time with them.
-empty Jean Luc's litter box every few days
For a stay exceeding 1 week:
-mow the lawn once a week
-water the indoor plants
-take out trash for collection
The pets have a doggy door they can use, so it's OK if you need to leave for part of the day. That said, they are both pretty social, so if you plan to be away for more than 6 hours at a time regularly, this won't be a good fit.
Kuja does get some anxiety if left for long periods of time and will bark anxiously, so we have a bark collar that must be used so she doesn't annoy the neighbors if you leave for more than 3 hours. Also, Kuja is a bit skittish around small children. The older the kids, the better. I wouldn't reccommend families with kids younger than 5 to stay with us. She will avoid children, but they make her very anxious. Other than that, she's an angel and a great hiking companion!Idiomas hablados

Alojamiento
4-bedroom home - 8 min walk from gorgeous McIntosh Lake, 8 min drive from downtown Longmont and 20 minutes from Boulder. We've got a king-size bed in the master, guest bedroom with a queen bed, and a comfy 2-person camping pad that kids/extra people could use.
You're welcome to use our bikes to get around. However, I strongly reccommend renting a car if you have the means as we live in the burbs and don't have public transit very accessible.Algo más...
Calvin and I are happy to give you local recommendations for hiking, restaurants, fun stuff to do. We can cover that when you come to stay with us.

Dogs are welcome as long as they get along with other dogs and are good with cats. By "good with cats" I mean that the dog won't chase my cat, even if it's just being playful.
