Descripción
We are a small community in the Brandenburg village of Gorgast on the Polish border. We are 12 people, some of us live in Berlin and others in Gorgast. Our direction is to work and live together in the multigenerational style. Our values are being there for one another, family and living together the feeling of being in good hands and strengthening our bonds with one another in a warm get-together. Our social concern is the support of healing on all levels, personal development and support of (socially committed) people. That is why we also invite groups to give workshops that are socially relevant for them. We want to live and support a regenerative culture. We are actively shaping the future in our society through our little role model. At the same time we are part of the village and the region. We are expanding an old manor house, where you can help us with construction work, with the expansion and design of the house and rooms, gardening, designing Our other buildings and woodwork. You can do a variety of things with us and at the same time experience community - conversations by the fireplace, in the sauna or around the campfire.
Wir sind eine kleine Gemeinschaft im brandenburgischen Dorf Gorgast an der polnischen Grenze. Wir sind 12 Menschen, wobei einige von uns in Berlin wohnen und andere in Gorgast. Unsere Ausrichtung ist es im Mehrgenerationen-Style, zusammen zu arbeiten und zu leben. Unsere Werte sind füreinander dasein, Familie und gemeinsam das Gefühl leben, aufgehoben zu sein und im warmen Zusammenkommen, unsere Bande miteinander zu stärken. Unser gesellschaftliches Anliegen ist die Unterstützung von Heilung auf allen Ebenen, persönliche Entwicklung und Unterstützung von (sozial engagierten) Menschen. Deswegen laden wir auch Gruppen ein, für sie gesellschaftlich relevante Workshops bei uns zu geben. Wir wollen eine regenerative Kultur leben und unterstützen. Wir gestalten damit aktiv Zukunft in unserer Gesellschaft durch unser kleines Vorbild. Gleichzeitig sind wir Teil des Dorfes und der Region.
Wir bauen ein altes Herrenhaus aus, bei dem du uns mithelfen kannst bei Bauarbeiten, beim Ausbau und Gestaltung des Hauses und Zimmer, Gartenarbeiten, Gestaltung der Außenanlagen und weiteren Gebäude sowie Reparatur und auch Holzarbeiten. Du kannst dich bei uns vielfältig betätigen und dabei gleichzeitig Gemeinschaft erleben - Gespräche am Kamin, in der Sauna oder am Lagerfeuer.

Our community consists of people who are involved in a wide variety of areas and we exchange a lot about different projects. A common concern is to make the world a little more beautiful. A few of us get involved to create a regenerative working environment. We always have new interesting people who come to us to give workshops with us on the one hand or to tell us about themselves and their experiences.
Unsere Gemeinschaft besteht aus Menschen, die sich in den verschiedensten Bereichen engagieren und wir tauschen uns viel über verschiedene Projekte aus. Ein gemeinsames Anliegen ist die Welt ein Stückchen schöner zu machen. Ein paar von uns engagieren sich, um eine regenerative Arbeitswelt zu gestalten. Wir haben immer wieder neue interessante Menschen, die zu uns kommen, um einerseits Workshops bei uns zu geben oder uns von sich und ihren Erfahrungen zu erzählen.

Im Haus gibt es folgende Tätigkeiten, die je nach Bauabschnitt anfallen. Wir leiten dabei auch an, du musst also nicht alles können, aber Spaß daran haben es zu tun bzw. es auch zu lernen
- Bauarbeiten jeglicher Art
- Fußböden herausreißen, Wände einreißen
- Wände verspachteln
- renovieren, streichen
- Holzarbeiten, z.B. Regale bauen, Wohneinrichtungen
- Lehmwände verputzen
- Holz hacken, Unterstände bauen
- Gartenarbeit, Grundstückspflege (Rasen)

The house has many rooms and you will be accommodated in one of the rooms (with full occupancy in a multi-bed room) Most of the time everyone prepares breakfast and lunch themselves, and we usually eat together for dinner.
Das Haus hat viele Zimmer und du wirst in einem der Zimmer ( bei voller Belegung auch Mehrbettzimmer) untergebracht. Essen und Verpflegung besorgen wir gemeinschaftlich. Frühstück und Mittagessen bereitet sich meistens jeder selber vor und Abends essen wir meistens zusammen.

Gorgast is located in the beautiful Oderbruch in Brandenburg, a cultural landscape that was drained as a former swamp by Friedrich II. Poland is 7 km away and the Oder is very scenic. Visits that are worthwhile are the old Gorgaster Fort, where there are also festivals in summer, and the old Küstrin, which was completely destroyed in World War II and is popularly known as the "Polish Pompei". The place has not been rebuilt and is now a museum and memorial with its bizarre landscape. The old Oder flows directly in front of the house and we have 2 canoes with which you can go on a beautiful day tour in nature. And maybe you will see kingfishers too. The surrounding villages are also worth seeing, each with its own unique character. The connection with public transport is very good. In just over an hour you can be in Berlin or the small towns of Seelow or Frankfurt / Oder. The work away, who were already with us, appreciated our absolutely open and relaxed manner. We have no special expectations, we will get to know each other together at the beginning and discuss together what you like and how we want to live and work our time together.
Gorgast liegt im schönen brandenburgischen Oderbruch, einer Kulturlandschaft, die vom Friedrich II als ehemalige Sümpfe trockengelegt wurde. Polen ist 7 km entfernt und die Oder ist landschaftlich sehr schön. Besuche die sich lohnen sind das alte Gorgaster Fort, wo es im Sommer auch Festivals gibt und das alte Küstrin, welches im 2. Weltkrieg komplett zerstört wurde und im Volksmund das "polnische Pompei" genannt wird. Der Ort ist nicht wieder aufgebaut worden und ist heute mit seiner skurrilen Landschaft Museum und Gedenkstätte. Direkt vorm Haus fließt die alte Oder und wir haben 2 Kanus mit denen man eine schöne Tagestour in der Natur unternehmen kann. Und vielleicht sieht man auch Eisvögel. Auch die umliegenden Dörfer sind sehenswert, jedes in ihre Eigenart.
Der Anschluss mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln ist sehr gut. In etwas mehr als einer Stunde ist man in Berlin oder in den Kleinstädten Seelow oder Frankfurt/Oder.
Die work Awayer, die bereits bei uns waren, schätzten unsere absolut offene und entspannte Art und Weise. Spezielle Erwartungen haben wir nicht, wir werden uns gemeinsam am Anfang kennenlernen und gemeinsam besprechen, was du gerne magst und wie wir unsere gemeinsame Zeit zusammen leben und arbeiten wollen.

Du kannst deinen Campervan auf unserem Parklatz vor dem Garten stellen. Das machen auch einige von uns. Mithilfe eines Stromkabels kannst du auch Strom dir in den Campervan holen.

I spent 2 weeks in Gorgast and it was amazing, I felt really included and part of something while helping to made the place look better and cozy.
