    Namaste🙏,

My name is Yogacharya Raj, but people call me "Guru." I was running a Yoga and Meditation + Ayurveda Retreat in the foothills of the Himalayas, overlooking the beautiful mountains & lake in pokhara. Due to the Covid pandemic situation, it was closed, and now I'm trying to create a new location dedicated to Yoga, Meditation & Ayurveda near Kathmandu. Please help me.

Before Covid, I had my beautiful family, but life took an unexpected turn, and I lost it. Now, I am blessed with my precious baby girl, Shakshi, who is 8 years old, and we live together with my mother, Gyanu, who is 73. Despite the challenges, I was striving to rebuild and grow, but nature had other plans. In September 2024, we faced yet another devastating setback—a landslide and flood that shook our lives once more. Yet, amidst the struggles, my determination remains unshaken. I am ready to rebuild, to rise again, and to create a better future for my family.

I need to take care of my beautiful and creative girl, as well as my elderly mother, and we are planning to create a beautiful location for Yoga, Meditation, Ayurveda, Reiki, & Singing Bowl.

We need volunteers to construct the center, where everyone can share joy of life.

In addition, every day we need help with cooking food for ourselves and gardening to grow vegetables.

We invite you to let your full potential flourish! You are welcome to join our yoga and meditation sessions, and we are open to any creative ideas and input you may have for our home.

Along with this, you can experience yoga, meditation, and Ayurveda. Since it is a traditional Nepali village, you will have the unique opportunity to immerse yourself in Nepali society and experience the rich customs and traditions of the Brahmin community firsthand. Think of it as an open cultural museum—a living, breathing space where you can witness and participate in the daily rituals, festivals, and way of life that have been preserved for generations. This is not just a visit; it’s an authentic cultural exchange that allows you to connect deeply with the heart and soul of Nepal.

Our destination is not a tourist location, so you can fully enjoy the authentic culture and traditions of a Brahmin family as a foreign guest. This will be a completely unique experience.

We have some hens for organic eggs, cows for organic milk, rabbits to help release stress, and honey bees for honey.

You can taste seasonal fruits such as oranges, kiwi, guava, sugarcane, bananas, Nepali hog plum, and local varieties of persimmon, plum, and peach from my garden. From the forest, we offer 100% organic fruits like Golden Himalayan raspberry, Berberis aristata, Himalayan ground gooseberry, and fragrant wintergreen in season.

You can have ginger and turmeric are available year-round, beneficial for health.

    🧘 ૐ 🧘🏻‍♀️ Sustainable Construction with Zero Carbon Emissions🧘 ૐ 🧘🏻‍♀️
    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
My project is using local organic materials for construction is an effective way to achieve zero carbon emissions. This approach involves relying on natural, renewable, and locally sourced materials such as bamboo, timber, straw, adobe, and hempcrete. These materials have low embodied energy, meaning they require minimal energy to produce and transport, significantly reducing the overall carbon footprint of the construction process.

One of the key benefits of using these organic materials is their ability to sequester carbon. For example, bamboo and timber capture and store carbon dioxide during their growth, acting as natural carbon sinks. When incorporated into buildings, they continue to lock in the carbon, contributing to a sustainable and eco-friendly construction approach.

Additionally, construction techniques should prioritize minimizing energy use. This can be achieved by using solar-powered tools, wind energy, or even manual labor where feasible. By avoiding energy-intensive processes and fossil fuels, the environmental impact is further reduced.

Adopting these methods not only aligns with sustainable development goals but also supports local economies by utilizing locally available resources. It preserves traditional building practices and fosters resilience in communities while protecting the environment for future generations.

We are excited to invite passionate individuals to join our zero carbon construction initiative through Workaway! This project focuses on creating eco-friendly structures using locally sourced organic materials like bamboo, straw, adobe, and hempcrete. Together, we aim to build sustainable and innovative spaces while minimizing our environmental impact.

As a volunteer, you will gain hands-on experience in sustainable construction techniques, learn about renewable materials, and contribute to a meaningful cause. Your efforts will help us promote green building practices and create a model for zero carbon living.

Come be a part of this inspiring journey and help us shape a greener, more sustainable future. Let’s work together to build responsibly and make a positive impact on our planet!
