Descripción
Hi! My name is Darinka, I’m a 30-year-old Pharmacist from Santiago, currently living in Las Condes. I’ve been a Workawayer myself, so I understand both sides of the experience.
I’m currently working on personal creative projects that combine:
Diving (Pacific Ocean, often low visibility)
Handmade jewelry (silver, brass, ocean-inspired)
Travel & small expedition-style experiences
I’m looking for someone with experience in digital content creation to help me organise, edit and publish content across social media and my website.
*** What I need help with: ***
Organising existing content (photos and videos from iPhone and GoPro)
Selecting and editing material for social media
Structuring content and supporting uploads
In a later phase: helping create new content (photos/videos)
I already have a large amount of raw material, so the first stage is mainly focused on curation, structure and editing, rather than shooting.
Context of the project:
I go to the beach and nature almost every weekend, since I’m a diver. This creates a great opportunity to work with unique environments.
If it resonates with you, you’re welcome to join these trips and activities, and even be part of them. This is a big plus if you enjoy the ocean, nature, and this kind of lifestyle — not mandatory, but I’d genuinely love it if you’re into it.
Who I’m looking for:
Someone with experience in content creation (portfolio is a big plus)
Strong visual criteria and storytelling sense
Comfortable working with video (short-form content)
Organised, detail-oriented, and able to bring structure
Responsible, committed, with a good attitude and a bit of a “street-smart” mindset (this matters in Chile)
*** Living situation: ***
You’ll have your own room and bathroom, sharing the apartment with me in Las Condes. There is also a dedicated room used as an office / creative workspace (taller).
I usually work on my projects at home during weekday mornings, and then I leave for work until late, I come back home around 9:00 pm to rest and sleep.
There are many activities happening in the area, most of them within a short subway distance.
As long as you are flexible, this can be a great opportunity for someone looking to stay central & safe, comfortable, and relatively independent in Santiago.
*** Exchange conditions: ***
The help required is 15 hours per week (around 3 hours per day, 5 days a week), in exchange for accommodation.
I’m not able to provide full meals, but I’m happy to share basic groceries (fruits, vegetables, proteins and essentials) and whatever is available in my pantry or fridge. You’re welcome to cook and manage your own food preferences.
Schedule:
I’m flexible regarding tasks and skills, but in terms of schedule, I’d prefer that we work together while I’m at home, mainly during weekday mornings (Monday to Friday, I'm at home around 8:00–14:00).
That said, I can be flexible depending on what we need to get done. Some tasks may also be done independently, depending on your working style.
Cultural exchange:
Beyond the tasks itself, I value creating a genuine and meaningful exchange experience.
I’m currently preparing for English language exams to study abroad, so if you’re a native or fluent speaker, I’d really appreciate practicing together as part of our daily interaction.
You’ll get to experience:
Daily life in Santiago (Las Condes area)
Local perspectives on living and working in Chile
Weekend trips to the coast and nature (if you want to join)
A creative environment focused on building different kinds of projects
If you’re interested, you can also get to know the local scubadiving community in Chile, join family gatherings at my parents’ countryside house, meet my group of friends and experience real social life in Santiago
I’m also genuinely interested in learning from you — your perspective, ideas and way of doing things are part of the exchange too.
*** Important: ***
Please check my calendar before applying and only message me for available dates
I’m ideally looking for long-term stays (1 month or more), but I’m open to 2+ weeks if it’s a good fit
I can host 1 person
We’ll start with a 2-week trial period, and if everything goes well, we can extend
Food & other notes:
I’m not vegetarian or vegan. You’re welcome to cook and buy your own ingredients, and I’m happy to share basic food (including fruits and vegetables), but I won’t specifically cook or shop for special diets.
Also, I won’t be responsible for any medical or medication costs if you get sick during your stay.

Algo más...
Santiago is a big city and there's a lot to do.
Public transport works fairly well, and it's not expensive.
