  Hello. Our names are Marius and Joyce. We were a family of 11 but many of our children are flying the coop now.

  Hello! We are excited to be a part of Workaway. Motorbikes, Horses, Gardening, Canning, Hobby Farm work. We have 4 acres in the middle of other farmland. We are a Christian family who strive to place Christ first in all our interactions. 4 of our children are married and have given us some grandchildren! We have some fun family get-togethers. Our 4 children remaining at home are very busy so I am finding that I could really use an extra pair of hands, preferably a fun, young lady(s) who interacts well with teenagers, to help with some of the family chores alongside the younger kids (14 and 17yrs) or on your own. I am looking for help in the kitchen: cooking, cleaning up and baking. Gardening: weeding, processing produce ie: dehydrating, canning. What are your gifts/interests? Where do you excel? I am around all the time as well so we would be working together at times and separate at times. I'm pretty flexible. We Homeschool so we like to take some day trips, go to the river 5 mins from our place, kayak, etc. We have 4 acres with chickens, bunnies, ponies, motorbikes, zip line, rope swing. Lots of fun between the work.

  My husband is from Holland so he speaks Dutch fluently. I speak some Dutch. I would love to practise Dutch and also learn some Spanish.

  We have a bedroom in our home for your privacy. It has a beautiful view overlooking the neighbours' farm fields. Shared bathrooms.
  Meals are included family style, although with our fluxuating schedules, we don't always eat together.

  For your time off, we have the Rivers and the Ocean all within 10 mins driving. Biking, Hiking, Quaint Cowichan Bay shops, Whale watching, Malahat Skywalk, Goldstream Park, Westcoast 'Niagara Falls', Parksville beaches and Horse riding. Tofino is a 4 hr drive from our home.
  We live 6 mins driving from Duncan, 16 mins cycling. You may use our family vehicle at times or drive with us.

  We would be happy to host someone who would also like to work from home. We have pretty good internet although we are not close to a tower so connections on the cel phones are not the greatest. Computers work well here.
