My family and I are seeking help of all kinds on our homestead this fall!

My partner Curtis and I live on a beautiful property in Hazelton, northern BC, with his two girls aged 8 and 10 (and we have a baby due very soon!). We are just a few minutes’ walk or bike ride to Ross Lake Provincial Park and a few minutes’ drive to the amenities of New Hazelton town. Hazelton is rich with opportunities to explore the outdoors and wilderness of northern BC, as well at Gitxsan Indigenous culture and pioneer history.

We are excited to meet travellers and learn from your diverse experiences, and in exchange to share our beautiful part of the world with you, as well as our homesteading lifestyle and skill sets. If you have interests in learning (or sharing skills) about any of the following, right now here is what we are busy doing: harvesting and processing food for the winter from our large organic garden as well as wild foraging foods, caring for our many animals, doing creative building projects around the farm, and homeschooling our two kids. We can offer you private accommodation in a clean and comfortable trailer by our house and healthy, homegrown meals with our family or food to cook on your own if you prefer.

You are welcome to use our bikes, canoes, and kayaks to explore the trails on our property or the lake (great for swimming and fishing) that is right beside our house. We have an old car a licensed driver could use (manual transmission) and a horse that an experienced rider could take trail riding. There are lots of mountains, rivers and trails around here to explore too!
