I stayed at Peter and Rhonda's for nearly a month and I enjoyed every minute of it!
We developed a good friendship, and the cutest routines like afternoon teas under the mango tree, watching "letters and number tv show" all together, walking and driving around Cleveland with an eye for the local flora and fauna.
They offered me the incredible
… read more opportunity to go camping on their unique sailing boat in the near island of Coochiemudlo: a foreign paradise and a unique experience to the eyes of a european girl like me. I will always be grateful to them for those amazing 3 days, characterized by tides, fishing, hikes, white breasted eagles flying above us, reading, music exchange and delicious boat-cooked meals!
They are a lovely, welcoming and caring couple, keen to have a cultural exchange with their hosts, genuinely interested in knowing eachother.
They are incredible chefs and have healthy habits that are keeping them strong, fit and energetic.
The work required was really not hard: sometimes they asked for my help in doing some maintanance in the garden or on the boat, but mainly they appreciated me spending time with their 40yo daughter Anita, who suffers from a mild disability. Being with Anita was an absolute pleasure for me! She is caring, curious and enthusiastic and we had some really good time together at Brisbane museum and on our walks.
Cleveland is only 40 mins to Brisbane and very well connected by public transport. As a guest you will have plenty of time to explore the area! Strongly suggested :)
Thank you again for everything Peter, Rhonda and Anita! <3

Gloria was very easy to have as a Workawayer. She is cheerful and energetic. When she came boating she was very accepting of the small size of the boat and went about exploring Coochiemudlo Island. She helped with our daughter who has a mild intellectual disability.
Her English language is good and it improved even more with daily use.
She is

My one week stay with Peter and Rhonda was very heartwarming. I was there for a week and they showed me a great deal about their post retirement life.
For the week I stayed there I helped with
laying concrete, making compost and weedwacking, most of the time. Along with some other things. I was just mainly lending a hand. They seemed to carry

Don’t let their age fool you, they are very active and healthy for their age. However, I think they should rest! very humble kind. They showed me small town living. It was actually really great. It was a learning experience for me, they’ve been through alot in life, and have wonderful grandkids that visit often. Beautiful family.
I’ll miss the tea times. That was the best part. They showed kangeroos, gave me a little cute train ride in the town. They accommodated me really well. Thank you so much for that Rhonda!Solo puedes ponerte en contacto con workawayers con membresías activas.

I stayed with Peter and Rhonda for two weeks and couldn't recommend them more as hosts. I found them to be kind, thoughtful, practical people who genuinely love growing fruit and vegetables. Their obvious care and attention to their plants and the land on which they live made it a pleasure to help take care of it, too. I love to learn something
… read more new, and Peter and Rhonda were both generous teachers, showing me how to do interesting jobs around their property as well as sharing their knowledge of local flora and fauna, Australian politics and society, and the history and natural attractions of nearby Fraser Island. They were also generous in including me in their life and home; I met their friends and family, came with them on errands to town, shared many hours of pleasant conversation with them, and even went camping with them in a nearby national park.
The accommodation they provided was clean and comfortable; after months of hostel living, it was a treat to have so much private space. I appreciated that their daily routine included periodic breaks; we worked in the morning and late afternoon, leaving the hottest part of the day free. Most of my tasks were related to gardening - pruning, weeding, mulching, etc. - but I also helped with IT questions, cutting and painting boards to be used for a building project, washing windows, and some of the cooking and washing up after meals.
Feel free to contact me with any questions; I'd be happy to chat with anyone considering a stay with this completely lovely couple.Solo puedes ponerte en contacto con workawayers con membresías activas.

I really enjoyed my time in Maryborough. Peter and Rhonda were very helpful and always tried to keep me busy or entertained. They took me to see kangaroos, koalas, and even dropped me off at the Town Hall to see the markets and take a free walking tour of downtown Maryborough. The work was really enjoyable and fun. I got to try a lot of new things
… read more and even drove a tractor. The work was usually a couple hours in the morning and occasionally some more work in the afternoon.
My accommodations were really nice as well. I had my own private space with a nice big bed and shower. They fed me very well and a lot of variety. When the wifi was on it always worked for me. I was able to take a quick and easy bus to meet them, and they picked me up from the bus stop. I felt very comfortable and thought Peter and Rhonda were wonderful hosts.Solo puedes ponerte en contacto con workawayers con membresías activas.

Izzie came to our place and stayed for just over a week by which time the work we had for her was done. She helped with mulching, removing and cutting up unwanted trees, mending of fruit tree nets some tractor driving and many other tasks around the place.
She tried all the fruits that we have here which is good-many people aren't that
… read more adventurous-she saw heaps of kangaroos but the koalas were not there when we went looking for them.
We learned a lot about the USA and Izzie was interested in what happens in a smallish Australian town . One really nice thing was that when a meal was cooked and we called her she came up on time! She helped clean up after a meal and did some cleaning for us in the house. There’s a surprise every day at our farm in Lorinna, Australia
