Hello! Please come and help me keep our beautiful garden beautiful!
I am Giovanna. My husband Cristiano and I built this house from scratch more than 30 years ago near Campagnano di Roma, not far from Rome.
I am passionate about the garden! I do have some help but I also do a great deal of work in it myself and at times I feel a bit overwhelmed. Hence this appeal! I also have three dogs...
Workawayers would be staying in a separate upstairs flat where I would be able to offer a room with two beds and en-suite bathroom as well as use of the kitchen. We can share some meals but sometimes I enjoy my solitude!
I would rather have couples since it is very quiet here and I need people who are very independent and can entertain themselves. I am afraid I cannot offer long stays. I do have some flexibility but would generally prefer stays of one/two weeks. -

Lots of history and art of course in Rome (which is a half-hour drive away) and Campagnano itself is set in the Veio Regional Park which dates back to the Etruscan and Roman ages. The village has recently become very popular among pilgrims walking the Via Francigena.
I am bi-lingual English/Italian so can help with both languages.
I come from an international background, have lived or spent a lot of time in different countries (UK, Canada, USA, Switzerland), am deeply interested in history, have made a documentary film on the help Italians gave escaped POWs during World War II (shown on national History Channel) and am always interested in meeting new people and hearing their stories. -
Ayuda
It's mainly work in the garden. In the autumn there is lots of stacking wood, hedge pruning, raking leaves, clearing ditches. After Christmas the roses need pruning and the fruit trees in February, while in springtime there is major pruning of the hedges, clearing the flower beds, grass strimming, etc. I would be working alongside you. I have a small vegetable garden and help is needed there as well. There are often some maintenance tasks, like painting the window grilles, to be done in wintertime. I like to build things and be creative in the garden so new ideas are always welcome!
To cover the 20/25 hourse a week workawayers are required to work, in the past I have had an arrangement so that workawayers work three full days and have four full days off, so they have time to visit Rome, nearby lake Bracciano etc. -

Alojamiento
Workawayers would have a bedroom with two beds and en-suite bathroom and use of the kitchen in my upstairs flat that has its own separate entrance. We can share some meals or you can cook for yourselves separately. I am not a brilliant cook but can teach how to make a good plate of "pasta"!

I work as a conference interpreter which is not a regular every day job. When at home I like to spend time working in the garden and with my three dogs but I also go into Rome quite often and would be able to give my guests a lift. Public transport is not brilliant here.
