Descripción
Welcome to our off-grid project nestled among cork trees and spring water, on the slope of a peaceful mountain.
Since 2015, this place has grown from a simple caravan in the forest into a living, evolving space where we combine family life, community, and regenerative practices.
Today, we are entering an exciting phase: rebuilding the main house using natural building techniques — and this is where you come in.
🛠️ A Hands-On Natural Building Experience
We are looking for motivated builders, makers, and learners who want real, practical experience.
Here, you can discover and practice:
Light straw construction
Cob (earth building)
Timber frame structures
Stone foundations and dry stone work
Natural plasters (clay, lime, straw mixes)
This is not a workshop — it’s a real project. You will be fully involved in the building process from foundation to finishing details.
🌱 The Spirit of the Place
This land is more than a building site. It’s a place where we explore:
autonomy and simple living
connection to nature
sharing skills and knowledge
building with care for the Earth
We live here with my two children (12 & 10), other residents, volunteers, and animals (chickens, sheep, dog, cats).
🌾 What We Are Looking For
People who are:
Motivated and reliable
Curious about natural building
Happy to work physically and learn by doing
Open-minded and easy to live with
Experience is welcome, but motivation and attitude matter more than skills.
🍕 Daily Life & Exchange
Around 5 hours per day (25h/week)
Flexible rhythm — we work seriously but without pressure
We enjoy the process as much as the result
We also share good moments together: cooking, pizza & pottery gatherings, making juice, and enjoying the land.
🏡 Accommodation & Food
Vegetarian meals
Stay in a clay bus, gypsy caravan, or camping
Access to kitchen and hot shower
Simple, comfortable, and immersed in nature 🌿

Intercambio cultural y oportunidades de aprendizaje
You will benefit from multi-language-kids speaking, living on top of a beautiful mountain, near to a castle and to medieval city. You can stay in an old english caravan, with a permaculture landscaping design outside. You can also learn about water management, gardening, recycling, upcycling, wood working and about new cultures and languages - because you will stay in touch with people from many places, so you can try new foodies too. You can swim in a natural lac or river, but the mainly thing is that you will be close to wild nature in a small paradise.

We had opportunity to sleep in a tree house up the hill. Then visit the most gorgeous village Castelo De Vide, by guidance of the most happy french guy we ever met, Julien :) And in the end drink as pure water as Fred´s hospitality.
We are happy that… read more
