Chuck was great. I stayed for a month when I was in northeast just before I had a scheduled camp job lined up. learning about plant starts and seeing them grow from seeds and all the different shaped natal leaves was really awesome. Chuck always asked if I was hungry and made really good food. Also occasionally ordered me some food from local

I would definitely come back here for another spring season in the future.Solo puedes ponerte en contacto con workawayers con membresías activas.

Chuck's homestead was ideal for kicking back, digging in the dirt and playing in the greenhouses and gardens. We harvested veggies, split firewood, and found endless, small projects inside for the 2 (out of 18) days that it rained outside (washed the curtains, hung some artwork, sorted through cupboards, refinished a table). After work, we made

Chuck is a generous and polite host, a fabulous chef, and a decisive communicator about what he needs, while being very open-minded and flexible to suggestions. The first-floor guest room is spacious and private, with a comfortable double bed. Hank, the cat, is a love, and his grown daughter comes and goes on her own, and is charming and friendly. I can't wait to come back next year!!!

Amazing experience learning about vegetable gardening. Chuck is patient and kind to share his knowledge and skills. Blunts pond down the road is the best:sunglasses:

We had a great time at Chuck's! My husband, our friend (who was traveling with us for a few weeks) and I volunteered at Chuck's farm for a week. While we were there Chuck went out of town for a few days so we were tasked with watching the farm and helping out a local friend at her goat farm. We were able to learn a lot from Chuck and how he does
… read more things. The experience was very rewarding. While we were there we spent a lot of time talking and just hanging with Chuck- he showed us the beaches nearby, the local swimming hole and even mapped out hikes for us to do at Acadia. The workload was very manageable- maximum of 5 hours a day with days off. We enjoyed our work and time spent with Chuck. There was a great emphasis on getting your work done so you can enjoy your time in Maine. We had an amazing time at the farm and would recommend it.Solo puedes ponerte en contacto con workawayers con membresías activas.

I stayed with Chuck for about 10 days and really enjoyed my time there. Because Chuck is moving away from full-time farming, the workload around the farm is very manageable. Typically a day would include tasks like harvesting veggies, helping put out the farm stand, chicken care, hoeing/weeding, splitting wood, trellacing tomatoes, and assorted
… read more things around the house and yard. A couple days I went over to the goat farm down the road to work, and enjoyed helping make the pizzas there! Chuck is a very friendly and accomdating guy, and you can expect to work your 5 hours and then have the rest of the day to yourself (which is great for hiking because you are so close to Acadia!). Had a good time working here and would recommend to anyone looking for a pretty lowkey stay and somewhere close to a beautiful national park!Solo puedes ponerte en contacto con workawayers con membresías activas.

I stayed with Chuck for only one week but it felt like months! It's incredible how fast I felt like home here.
Chuck kinda 'rescued' me from another workaway place where I didn't felt comfortable at all, even though back then he wasn't a workaway host yet. So he gave me a place to sleep and some chores to do and soon we grew closer.
His farm
… read more is lovely, and as long as you are really willing to work, you'll get along well :D We always had fresh veggies from the farm or we had dinner at the goat farm (where I also helped sometimes).
Chuck can even bake cookies!!! :) Even though sometimes it's just nice to buy plenty of cookies at walmart, right Chuck? :D
Within this one week I've got to help at the farmes market twice (so nice!!!) and I went for a hike in Arcadia National Park with one of Chuck's friends. Oh, and his son tought me how to shoot!! >> super cool! :)
I already miss this place and beautiful Maine, so I'm sure I'll come back to visit Chuck one day :)
Thank's for everything!!! Solo puedes ponerte en contacto con workawayers con membresías activas.
