Please only message if you're travelling solo, are available between now and mid may 2026 and can meet in either San Andres, Jamaica or Bahamas.

Hey! I haven't updated my profile since we left the boatyard late in February. The window for crossing the pacific was missed and the watermaker packed it in so we've been busy sailing to San Blas and then over to Bocas del Toro and now we are back in Portobelo while waiting for parts. Our next step will be a sail to San Blas and then over to Cartagena with plans of jumping off from there onroute to Jamaica. The goal is to get over to Europe for the summer to avoid the rainy days of Panama over the summer months. Still hoping for a pacific crossing but starting late this year, early next year...

So in terms of a volunteer. We're looking for someone who can help us manage our contributing crew. We get crew onboard to help with sailing, navigation, cooking and cleaning. With new people coming in and out the boat all the time it can be a challenge getting them up to speed on the ins and outs of life on board. In the galley is where we need the most help. Mainly oversight. Policing the water use, making sure people use opened goods before opening new, making sure they've cleaned properly, making sure they dont use all the good stuff in the first couple days of our trips leaving us with nothing but plain rice for the rest kinda thing

You don't need any sailing experience but you should understand that it is boat life. Hot and humid, lots of sun exposure. Quick cold showers. Not all the comforts you have on land. You should like water activities. I like having chill, easygoing people who can handle plans shifting and changing all the time. (We sailors write our plans in the sand at low tide... so things always, always change). Overall we like to keep things fun onboard but always safe. Get in touch and I can give you more details.

Big plus if you're good with social media and can help in the constant search for new crew recruits. Check out the boat on IG - ask us for the @.

    Cheers,

    Capt'n Brandon

You can learn about sailing, the sea, the Caribbean coast. Any and all things about boats. I've travelled many parts of the world as well. Can certainly share what I know.

On anchor it's pretty chill. Probably average 5 hours a day. IN the boatyard we'll be working longer days to get out sooner. We'll make up for it by taking some chill days on anchor once we're out.

No specific skills required, all that really matters is a good working attitude and care for what you are doing. I don't mind teaching what I know and what I don't know we can learn together.

  • Alojamiento

    Alojamiento

There are private double cabins. 3 of them and 3 toilets on board. There is water for showers, but best to limit shower to 5 mins to conserve water (watermaker can only replace the water so fast). No hot showers, but if showering in the early evening or afternoon the water can be hot.

In general it's a boat. It has many creature comforts but it is not a house (no hairdryer, small stove, small oven, showering outdoors). We try mainly to run on only solar, but have generator and engines for backup, but prefer to use sparingly. Think glamping...more camping than glam though.
