This experience is one I will still tell my grandchildren about ! I could not have imagined how inspiring and motivating my time here will be.
let's start with the dogs. all of them are amazing. Everyone of them love to get cuddles and all of them have their own great character. Feeding them every day and caring about them is really a fun thing
… read more to do, even though it's supposed to be work. in 6 weeks I got to know their characters, by caring about them, going for long walks in the mountains with them, let them run in the yard and see how everyone of them has their own mind in playing around and on tours with the sled. it's really a great opportunity to learn from Natalia about her Passion - dogsledding. To see how excited the dogs get when it starts really is an amazing experience. and I am more than grateful to have learned so much about the sport and the dogs themselves. Thanks to the Spirit of the family every day is fun! Snow shoveling, feeding the chickens and ducks, duties in the house, the work with the dogs - everything can be physically demanding and though packed with laughter!
living with the family is really cool and colourful. Natalia is a real maestro at cooking so that every evening dinner together is not just fun but also super tasty. And Sören is an amazing guide for getting all the information about the mountains around. I took my Tourenski equipment with me and got the best Skitour of my life thanks to Sören.
All of the family, Natalia, Sören and the kids made me feel more than welcome - part of their lives.
Thank you for this amazing experience !

hi
I stayed a month with Natalia and her family, it was a really lovely time. I love working outside with the dogs and working in the garden, so this was exactly what I was hoping for.

I don't think a month has ever gone by so quickly...
if you love dogs, lovely people, good food, cats, (and chickens), you've found the best host here. I spent a month here and there was something to do every day. No matter if the weather is bad or sunny and 25 degrees, the dogs all want to be cuddled and are very happy when they see you,
… read more especially when you have food with you. Even if you don't have much experience in the garden, it's no problem and I've learned so much about gardening, plants and making jam and syrup this month.
The area and the farm are also beautiful and the days off can be spent in the mountains, by the river and lake or in the polar park.
Thank you again for this wonderful month with you!!!Solo puedes ponerte en contacto con workawayers con membresías activas.

How can you say goodbye and still not be gone 3 days later?
Well, you didn’t make it easy for us to say goodbye. After a month full of wagging dog tails, delicious rhubarb cake, creative projects, hikes in the midnight sun, fishing trips and so many more experiences, we just couldn’t get enough of you.
From the first moment we felt comfortable
… read more with Natalia and her family. No question was unpleasant and for every problem there was a solution. They are such an open and loving family that every game night, every discussion at dinner and every building project we tackle together is fun. The tasks are varied - from animal care or gardening to creative craft projects - everything is included and it never gets boring. The surrounding nature is great for hiking, fishing or cycling. The house and garden are a small colorful spot in northern Norway where you can fill up an overdose of positive energy: On the one hand there are the many energetic huskies, each with its own personality and lovable in its own way. Whether playing, running or cuddling - the wild gang is always ready for it and enjoys company. We will miss each one of them! And then there is Natalia: Her heart for animals is bigger than herself, her energy level is always full, her ideas never run out & her open ear (whether for human or animal) is never closed - a total power woman with a great family and cool animals, all of whom you close directly to your heart!
Although we were far from home but we felt like home - thank you! It was an incredibly beautiful time that we will always remember with two broad smiles.
We wish you and the many paws only the best and look forward to see you again!

I spent a month with Natalia and her family during summer this year and it was great. As I was there through July it was still too warm to train the dogs full time but in the final week of my stay the early stages of training begun. My tasks involved feeding the dogs, building/maintaining fences, preparing firewood for winter, cutting down trees,
… read more fixing and putting together dog cages and a few other tasks involved with preparing the farm for sledding season.
The dogs were an absolute joy to be around, their high energy is a great first thing to see in the morning and they always want to play or cuddle. I can only imagine what it is like with them during the proper training season.
All of Natalia’s family was very welcoming, her kids are easy to get along with and provide great company on fishing trips and afternoons spent in the house. The area around the house is beautiful and is great for afternoon/day hikes and dog walks. I was also allowed to use one of the bicycles to go on a longer day journey to the Swedish border.
Overall my stay here was great and I can only recommend it, the work is good but not too tough and Natalia always makes sure you are going ok.
Hope to be back one day soon!Solo puedes ponerte en contacto con workawayers con membresías activas.

Oh my, where do I even start. This experience has been so important and special to me, there's so much to say!
I stayed with Natalia and her lovely family for 3 weeks. It is that I had to go home because I had things to do, but I can confidently say that I would have stayed longer if I could. All 5 of the family are very welcoming people and

Natalia is a beautiful mom to her kids (and dogs :)). She has a strong but flexible character which is AMAZING to work with. Especially since this was my first workaway experience (except for a house sitting). She made me feel very secure and appreciated my help. Funny, strong, kind, loving, accepting, motivated woman. She always made sure I felt comfortable with the tasks I had to do :).
The dogs, I absolutely fell in love with them. I never worked with dogs before, so I was definitely intimidated at first, but it did not take me long to trust them and see that there's no reason to be scared. Yes they are big, but in their hearts they are all just happy puppies who love cuddles :). Ever since, I spent a lot of time with them. Such enthusiastic, loving and energetic creatures, definitely a pleasure to be around.
The nature in Bardu is beautiful, big trees, mountains, rivers with strong currents. Beautiful. I was here in spring, so I have no idea how it would look in winter. Snowy, that is for sure 😌.
You have to accept that your clothes get dirty! But then again the experience is so beautiful, no need to worry about things you can put in the washer again :)
If I get the chance I will definitely come back, they feel like a second family to me and I love them so much.
If you are a workawayer who reads this and loves animals, I definitely recommend going here!!Solo puedes ponerte en contacto con workawayers con membresías activas.
