Hi, we are Kasia and Kuba, we met in the forest and now we walk through life together. A while ago we ran away from big and crowded cities to settle down in a small and quiet village in Subcarpathian region in south-east Poland. We live in beautiful place where we want to start a small farm and be a part of the local community. Two years ago we bought a piece of land with an old wooden house surrounded by old orchard with many shrubs, fruit trees and walnut trees.
Unfortunately, but on the other hand luckily, the house is in such a poor condition that the only way to save it is to dismantle it. To fulfil our dream we decided to build a new wooden house in the place of the old one. We want to do it with respect to traditional building methods with a help of modern tools and devices.
Kuba, who is a carpenter, has already built a small wooden cottage in the village. We used to live there for a while but now we want to build a new house for ourselves. I myself am a gardener and want to transform our land into sustainable, biodiverse and resilient food forest garden in line with the permaculture-based approach to life and nature.
Just come and join and enjoy our project. We can offer you food and stay in exchange for your help. The working time will be 5 hours a day, 5 days a week. But if you feel like working more (or less) it is also fine and up to you.
We can host you from beginning of June. There is a special room for volunteers in our barn. We can also arrange a space for a tent.
Even thou there is plenty of work we cannot forget of some fun and relax in the free time so bring your hammock, yoga mat, musical instruments, good ideas, smile on your face and enjoy the vibe!Tipos de ayuda y oportunidades de aprendizaje

Staying in our place will be a great opportunity to learn something about construction (including a bit of wooden construction) and gardening.
While in Poland in Subcarpathian region you can discover contemorary polish village and all kinds of lockal issues. It is a chance to catch some Polish words and find out more about this Eastern-European country.
If you love nature, it moght be a good chance to learn about natural forest protecion and eco-activism.Ayuda
Last year we managed to dismantle the old house, thanks to a big help from our volunteers. So this summer we will ask you to help us with construction of a foundation for the new house. We also need to take care after our construction wood. There will be also some work in the garden and in the kitchen - there is always a need for extra hands to cook and make homemade preserves, But the first and foremost is the construction.
We are also planning to infuse our farm with the spirit of permaculture so any advice and all points of view are more than welcome!Idiomas

Our place is located not far from Rzeszów which is the main city of Poland’s Subcarpathia Province. It is also not that far from Przemyśl a city that is a true tourist attraction.
But, if sightseeing and city tours are not your thing, there is this amazing and wild nature just around the corner. The region is perfect for hiking in the Bieszczady mountains, kayaking on the San river, cycling in Pogórze Przemyskie.... and much more. There is also an opportunity to join a protest camp for natural forest protection in Pogórze Przemyskie (Turnicki National Park).
There are many buses coming from Rzeszów to nearby village from where we can pick you up.Un poco más de información

we were all working together on one project most of the time, there was lots of good vibes and the work was fun, even though it was hard work and we got quite a bit of rain.
I also learned a lot about traditonal log house building.
I recommend bringing some waterproof working shoes :)
