  Hi, my name is Birgitte, I´m a 53 year old woman living on the beautiful island Bornholm in Denmark.
  I'm looking for unpaid help 4 - 5 hours a day 5 days a week for a period of time at 1 - 3 weeks at the time. I'll offer you a nice room with privacy, nice meals, cultural exchange and introduce you to this wonderful island of Bornholm.
  I´m new on Workaway; since my two grown up children now both live in Copenhagen, I need help for different small projects in my house and garden. My home is a charming Swedish wooden house, worthy of preservation, and my garden is a little wild on purpose in attempt to attract butterflies, insects and small birds. I live with our family dog - a cute Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Frida - in a nice and peaceful neighborhood in Rønne nearby beautiful beaches and woods (only 5 - 10 minutes away). My home is spacious with room and privacy for you whether you travel alone, as a couple, as friends.
  I have worked about 20 years as a teacher in primary school teaching the oldest classes Danish literature. The last few years I´ve worked with my sister and her family at their small boutique hotel in Snogebæk enjoying to have more time for creative ceramic projects, gardening, walks, yoga and friends.

  I look forward to introducing you to the Danish lifestyle on Bornholm. In my opinion Bornholm is a very special place and every season offers its own range of experiences and impressions.
  The unique nature on Bornholm is one of the reasons why many people choose to visit the island and offers great possibilities for hiking, climbing, biking, surfing etc.
  Also you will find lots of arts and crafts. Some craftsmen of Bornholm like to live quietly and unobtrusively while acting out their creative urges. Other artists are highly visible and have shops, open workshops and galleries.
  Every seasons on Bornholm has its own vibe: the summer is full of life, concerts and activities, the winter is more quite with time for refleksion - yet you can join all kinds of activities.

  I need help for different projects inside and outside my house. Your help will be appreciated whether you can do gardening, "handyman"-projects, cleaning, cooking, painting etc. In my garden I would like to cut down a big tree, prepare habitats for wildlife and it needs generel maintance etc. . In my house I need help for cleaning, painting and cooking.
  I have small building DIY projects fx making a book case and outdoor furnitures from recycled materials, doors and walls which need painting, interior design of rooms etc.
  We will make arrangements and plans for the projects together regarding your skills and interests.

  You will be staying in a nice room on basement floor which is light and spacious and has it´s own entrance and bathroom. There will be plenty of room for two persons if you travel together.
  The basement floor will give you privacy whenever you need it. However, I would like you to feel at home in the living room, in the kitchen, in the garden and the small orangery, whenever you feel like it.
  
  We will be dinning together some days - (some days I will be at working in the evenings) - maybe you like to cook for us some days?
  We will make arrangements depending on the days program, your wishes and plans. My daughter is a vegetarian, so I both eat plantbased food but also I like to serve dishes with chicken etc.

  I have an extra bicycle for your availability, it is easy to travel by busses on Bornholm.
