***** We now need help with chopping and storing wood *****
Hello!
We are a family of 5: Silvia, Claudio, Giorgio Sirio (8), Arturo (4) and Zeno Mirto (2).
After many years living in Berlin, we decided to move back to Calabria both because we want to live in nature and we feel a new deep connection with our homeland.
We've bought a camper and for a couple of years we spent our holidays travelling around Calabria to rediscover our region and getting to know many nice people and families with whom we started networking.
In 2020 we managed to move to Lamezia Terme and now we are in the process of buying our piece of land!
The position where we live right now is strategic, we live not far from the city but still in the countryside, surrounded by more than 3000sqm of land. Both mountain and sea are reachable within 15-20 minutes by car. Airport and main train station 5 minutes by car.
Here we make a veggie garden together with the father of Silvia, we have fruit and olive trees as well as some chickens, ducks, gooses and 2 dogs and about 10 cats.
We try to eat as much as possible from the garden and from wild weeds. We try not to use chemicals and we are happy to experiment alternative methods to grow our food naturally. That means that sometimes we find ourselves fighting against slugs or parasites and we ALWAYS struggle with weeds :) We still have much to improve and to learn... and of course we are glad to have some other couple of hands ready to enjoy the land.
We are also in the process of learning as much as possible about long conservation of fruits and vegetables both as jam, bain-marie or drying. We like to bake our own bread and pizza using the natural yeast as long as we have enough time to dedicate. We are also interested in learning about wild plants, and their use either as food, infusion herbs, wellness in its full meaning.
Our kids are at home (that means that we homeschooling!) and we take care of them. We read, have fun with music, play with clay and go out for work/playing and much much more...Tipos de ayuda y oportunidades de aprendizaje

Ayuda
We need help with the garden and with little building DIY tasks. We are now busy with olives harvesting, and we always need help with seeding, pruning and chopping, harvesting.
We would also like to have some help with the house holding that can be laundry, cleaning, cooking, and so on.
We'd love to host people who like to spend time with kids in a creative way. We have no TV and we also try to keep our family as much screen-free as possible :)
We imagine to share our time with you in a flexible way. We can talk together beforehand about our weekly goals and the relative tasks.Idiomas

Unfortunately at the moment we don't have any spare room to offer you as accommodation. Alternatively you can plant a tent (we can lend it to you), use our camper when is free or park your own camper in our garden. We will share our common space in our home: kitchen, living room and bathroom. Of course we can lend you bed sheets, towels and blankets, if needed.
Usually we share our meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) and we are happy to discover new recipes and get suggestions. Our diet is mostly vegetarian and we avoid trash food. If you have special dietary restrictions, please let us know in advance.Algo más...
We can lend you a bike or give you a lift when possible. The city center as well as the seaside/mountains are just a few Km away. If you have a car you can also enjoy visiting the region: since we are in the middle of it, you can easily go around in a reasonable amount of time. City bus service is available in town but it’s not reliable. The train station is not far from us and connects the region very well.
