  • Descripción

This is a small NGO settled in rural Bukoba. Our focus is on the empowerment of women as well as children suffering from abuse, poverty, and exclusion. Our target groups are adolescent girls as well as children living on the street. Together we try to change the often unbearable living conditions of our clients. Furthermore, we cooperate with local schools, the social welfare center, and our local women empowerment group.

    Our Projects are:

    1. Sexual and reproductive health Rights Project

In order to contribute to women empowerment, the organization chose to focus on education. Many girls are not informed on how to handle their monthly period properly and miss school because they feel uncomfortable. Or they drop out after getting pregnant. This leaves them with a worse education than the male students are able to receive, limiting their future prospects. To avoid that, the organization takes responsibility by implementing sex education courses in secondary schools to raise awareness and provide accurate information to the students

    2. Street children Project

Visiting the local street children to see how they are doing, provide first aid, and talk to them to find an opportunity to take them off the streets. We create a file with background information for every accounted for the child, that way we are able to know about their needs and can identify newcomers on the street.

    3. Girls Empowerment Project

We aim to promote equality through economic growth, in order to provide teen mothers with a sustainable income and avoid the pressure of child-marriage, and in turn, child- pregnancy, as well as reduce school dropout rates.

    We provide support on:

    -Business and entrepreneurship

Livestock, it focuses on keeping diary goats species, bird's for the aims of creating a new source of income

Garden, Economic Empowerment to the low income among girls on Wards, Villages where we work, girls are growing food and cash crops for the purpose of improving their economic status through selling the farm produces.

    The Magic of Bukoba/Culture &Culture

Bukoba is a beautiful town on Lake Victoria with cool weather and attractive places for tours such as Musila Island, Akiba game reserve, Kabwala beach, Catholic Cathedral.
The game reserves under scrutiny are Biharamulo , Kimisi, and Burigi Chato National Park. Also, we are easily reachable by bus from Kampala, or by flight or both bus and flight from Dar es Salaam and Mwanza.

Please Volunteers/interns: Note that, the early you confirmed to work with us, the early we served you. We are received a lot of inquiries, please send or accept our offer when you meant on it!

    VISA Description

When you are interested in joining us, the visa required for the project is a tourism Visa.

The visa is called a tourism Visa, intern, or students, and both costs 50$, it’s a three months visa. Before you applied for the Visa kindly connect with us first for further details

We are working on a new program with cultural-tourism so volunteers will have some unique opportunities. Volunteers/ interns will also have the opportunity to improve their skills related to working with a non-profit such as program development and grant writing. We will be happy to provide letters of recommendation to our interns/volunteers. We organize tour trips with our partners (tour companies or friends) to visit national parks, games reserves, and other attractive areas.
