My name is Chui together with my colleagues/volunteers we are working very hard with the most vulnerable children and adolescents by running the projects is situated in the northwest of the United Republic of Tanzania on the southwestern shores of Lake Victoria.

This is a small NGO settled in rural Bukoba. Our focus is on the empowerment of the children and adolescents suffering from abuse, poverty, and exclusion. Our target groups are adolescent girls as well as children living on the street. Together we try to change the often unbearable living conditions of our clients. Furthermore, we cooperate with local schools, social welfare officers, and other NGOs.

The purpose of our project is to bring relief to the people by fighting against poverty, injustice.

    1. Street children & Youth Project

visiting the local street to see how they are doing, provide first aid, and talk to them to find an opportunity to take them off the streets. We create a file with background information for every accounted for child, that way we are able to know about their needs, identify newcomers on the street and go further try to fix some of them as well as referral to the appropriate services

    2. Recently we are very focused on improving the conditions by lifting up adolescents and children's livelihood from the street/slums by preparing them with soft and technics skills such carpentry (Woodwork), welding, computer, business skills as well as self-awareness at the end we eager to connect them with different job opportunities, resume school, connect with shelters and families. Moreover, the organization provides lessons for those who don’t know how to read and write. We need your experience in employability and turn ideas into a valuable job or creating jobs from surrounding challenges

    3. Sexual and reproductive health Rights Project

In order to contribute to the girl’s empowerment, the organization chose to focus on education. Many girls are not informed on how to handle their monthly period properly and miss school because they feel uncomfortable. Or they drop out after getting pregnant. This leaves them with a worse education than the male students are able to receive, limiting their future prospects. To avoid that, the organization takes responsibility by implementing sex education courses in secondary schools to raise awareness and provide accurate information to the students

Among other future projects we want to: (a) Build a youth learning center as well as a proper nursery place for children and (b) build volunteer houses

Traveling by yourself is not a problem. We will guide you all the way to us; we can even make sure someone assists you. Please feel free to contact us if you need more information than what is provided here, we are happy to answer all your questions and provide the best advice on general issues such as health, culture, weather, excursions, travel, visas, safety, and special events. Also, please be sure to find us on social networks!

Please Volunteers/interns: Note that, the early you confirmed to work with us, the early we served you. We are received a lot of inquiries, please send or accept our offer when you meant on it!

We hope to hear from you soon

They will make new friendships, visits new historical sites, learn native Tanzanian culture include food, languages, clothing, housing, and ceremonies.

We believe we can offer a life-changing experience to the Project volunteers!!

Not only because you will be able to help us in our great challenge of keeping it running but also because it will change how you see our community, our country, the whole of Africa!

You will be immersed in our daily lives, understand deeply our culture, our history, our language. We are sure you will learn Swahili and Haya words to bring with you! Besides, you will deeply understand Haya culture, their traditions, their homes and villas, the Haya dancing, etc.

Besides, we can organize safari trips to the Uganda Border, closer National parks are Burigi, Rubondo Island, Minziro forest reserve, and others like Serengeti and Ngorongoro parks (considered two of the bests for wildlife spotting). We can organize all types of safari trips from budget/camping options to hotels and lodges inside the parks. Safari activities include walking safaris, waterfalls, mountain trekking, game viewing, photographic excursions, etc.

Volunteers/ interns will also have the opportunity to improve their skills related to working with a non-profit such as program development and grant writing. We will be happy to provide letters of recommendation to our interns/volunteers.

English speakers are not more people also children communicate with Swahili, a volunteer has to catch up some few Swahili words to communicate although its an option. We are working on a new program with cultural-tourism so volunteers will have some unique opportunities.

  • Ayuda

    1. Throughout the years, we developed 3 programs that are represented by various projects.

We need help to prepare a fundraising project ( attracting donations, applying for grants to implement the project). Work on:

    a) Youth Empowerment - shelter, food, emotional support, child rights, skills development, technical training, job skills, livelihood

    b) Health & Education - SRHR, triaged health services, psychosocial/emotional support, partnerships with local health facilities/authorities to facilitate referrals, training on making pads, personal hygiene

    c) Community engagement - local government, schools, social welfare offices, child and gender desk leaders, MOH, parents, family

Our works focus on fields such as training, workshops, meetings, monitoring, coaching, mentoring.

    Fundraising and Awareness

In order to further develop, improve conditions, and maintain our place, we mostly need help with fundraising and grants. There is a lot of work being done every day, but still, the biggest challenge is money.

We would truly appreciate the help of a volunteer who could come with new financing ideas, how to make new partnerships, or create a way for us to make money independently. Also if someone could come and help to spread awareness of our project around the world. So, if you have the willingness and/or experience with grant writing, fundraising, report writing, or if you know organizations, people, or businesses that could support us, you could make a huge difference!

    Additional HELP
Volunteers are also very welcome to use the skills they have to contribute to our project, especially within our Youth learning center/shelter program.

This means you can be directly involved in the available daily activities visit the street, family visit, prepare lessons, deliver lessons to students, artwork, playing with children, help with preparing meals, help with house-work, homework, general counseling, computers/internet and as well as gardening, help on the post, maintenance to our website and social media, woodwork, carpentry, documentation, report last but not the least fundraising

I would like volunteers /interns to work with us for 3 weeks or longer, preferably one month, even a year and above. We provide plenty of amazing experiences!

    Thanks for your support 🙏🏿🖐🏽
