  Are you passionate about construction and gardening? This is your chance to contribute to an exciting project in Maimará and experience life on an authentic homestead!
  
  We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers with construction or gardening experience to join us in Maimará, a beautiful town in the province of Jujuy, Argentina. Come be a part of our family and help us establish an incredible organic garden!

  What do we offer?
  
  1. A Unique experience: Immerse yourself in rural Argentine life and discover the charm of Maimará, surrounded by stunning landscapes and mountains. You will witness the rich culture and traditions of this region while working hand in hand with our local community.
  
  2. Construction and gardening: If you have experience in construction or gardening, this volunteering opportunity is perfect for you. You will work five hours per day, five days a week, primarily assisting with the development of our organic garden and participating in construction projects. Your skills will be invaluable for the growth and improvement of our homestead.
  
  3. Learning: You will learn techniques of organic agriculture, (with a focus on no-dig organic gardening as well as planting a food forest) how to build sustainable structures, and how to work as a team. We will be delighted to share our knowledge with you and guide you on the path to sustainability and homestead living. Additionally you will have an opportunity to practice your Spanish!
  
  4. Connection with nature: Enjoy the tranquility and beauty of nature while working in our idyllic environment. Disconnect from the hustle and stress of urban life and reconnect with the earth and natural elements.
  
  5. Community: A friendly and open environment where you can be yourself free of judgement and where you can build meaningful friendships.

  What do we expect from you?
  
  1. Motivation and enthusiasm: We value a passion for homestead work and a desire to learn. Your energy and commitment are key to the success of our project.
  
  2. Relevant experience: Preferably, we are looking for volunteers with construction or gardening experience. However, if you have other valuable skills or simply a strong willingness to learn, you are also welcome.
  
  3. Adaptability: Homestead life may be different from what you are accustomed to. There are no luxuries here but we are working hard towards improving the homestead and making it more comfortable and self sustaining. Being willing to adapt to new routines and challenges will be essential for a rewarding experience.
  
  4. You’ll be working five days a week for around 5 hours a day. Should you exceptionally work more one day you’ll get a shorter work day on the next day. When you are not working you are free to explore Maimará and the beautiful Quebrada de Humahuaca. The work is mostly gardening and construction work meant to improve the homestead and make it more self sufficient.

  Alojamiento

  During your stay you will be sleeping in a bunk bed in the common room, don’t worry though, there will never be more than four volunteers at the same time. The bathroom is shared but we plan on building another bathroom in the near future. Sometimes we will cook meals together using the produce grown on the homestead, however this depends on the season and the availability of our veggies, we are just starting out!
