I was lucky enough to spend five weeks in Wicklow at Tom’s and Nikki’s place with their dog Rocco and I couldn’t be happier with my experience there!
The first few days of my trip I got to spent with the family before they left for their holiday and I felt welcome from the moment I arrived. Nikki, Tom and the kids are such warm hearted, friendly
… read more people and I wish I could’ve gotten to spend more time with them this summer. Thankfully I get to meet them again later this year!☺️
My main task of course was to take care of Rocco, the best, most well behaved dog I’ve ever met in my life. He gave me no problems whatsoever and although he clearly missed his family at first, by the end of my trip we had become great friends!
Besides minding the dog I mostly worked outside in the garden, weeding the flowerbeds and mowing the lawn. Indoors I cleaned up the house and did basic maintenance stuff and it never felt like I was being asked to do too much. Tom just told me to do what I can and so I did!😆
The area where I stayed is so peaceful and incredibly beautiful and I have totally fallen in love with it. I got to take long walks by the nearby beach with Rocco and see the gorgeous mountains not far from the place.
In the village itself there isn’t much besides a gas station and a pub, but there is a bus stop about 15min walk away from the house where you can take the bus to the nearby town called Greystones. In Greystones there’s grocery stores and restaurants and you can take a train to Dublin from there.
Even though I was by myself for the duration of my stay, I never felt alone. Tom and Nikki were quick to answer my messages and made sure there were people in Wicklow who I could contact if I needed anything. I got to meet their parents and neighbours who are all such wonderful and helpful people and I’m so happy to have met them!
Thank you so so so much for giving me this opportunity and I can’t wait to see you all again!❤️

I'm writing this feedback way too late but I stayed with Nikki, Tom, Annie, Hugo and Bonnie May for one Month in May 2022. It was my first experience with workaway and it has been wonderful!
I usually had to work from 11 am to 4-5p.m and my main task was to mind the 3 wonderful children. All three of them are very well behaved and know what they

Once a week I had to clean the house but then this was my only task for the day and it wasn't very hard it just took time because it's a big and beautiful house.
The food was amazing and my room was wonderful. I had my own bathroom as well.
The area is just stunning and if you are into hiking I can highly recommend visiting that area. Regarding the weekends there is plenty to do and Nikki and Tom will help you in any way to make your plans hapenning.
The whole family has so much energy and they are doing so many things at the same time that it surely never will be boring.
If you are interested in getting involved in the community a little bit I recommend walking to the Community center and checking out the local things. I've met some wonderful people because of that.
Thank you very much for this wonderful experience and I hope to meet all of you again and that you're still playing Bonhanza!

I stayed with Nikki, Tom and their children for three weeks in the beautiful area of Greystones and I enjoyed every day I was able to spend in their lovely house and family!
I was helping them in their vegetable garden and was also working on other projects in and around the house, like painting walls.

We often cooked together and the dinner was always delicious. I also enjoyed all our conversations and Tom and Nikki were always very kind, helpful and open-minded.
I directly felt welcomed in their warm-hearted family and would have loved to stay there for longer because it was one of the most beautiful experiences I could have ever made.
I wish them all the best and hope that we will see again soon!Solo puedes ponerte en contacto con workawayers con membresías activas.

We had the pleasure of hosting Elli for a few weeks in March 2022. She was such a bright, lovely warm person to have around the house. She carried out gardening work and some painting inside the house. She always took her work very seriously and did a great job, no matter what the task! She was always so polite and helpful around the house. I

I spent exactly 8 weeks with this family and I must say it was one of the most beautiful experiences in my life.
They are incredibly warm and lovely and treated me like part of the family from the moment I arrived.
On the very first weekend they invited me to a great family festival.
Location:
The village is not quite big, but very beautiful and
… read more peaceful. There is a petrol station in the village that includes a shop and sells great ice-cream sundaes where I went with the kids sometimes.
There is a bus stop within the village that takes you to the train station, from which you have a direct connection to Dublin City.
Family and work:
Nikki and Tom have three amazing children! They are totally open, warm-hearted and full of life.
And then there's Rocco, the most amazing dog I've ever met. He is totally calm, sociable and great with the kids.
I mainly looked after the children, did light housework and occasionally helped in the garden. Once we also painted the room of the biggest and surprised her with it after school.
Nikki and Tom allowed me a lot of free time so I could do a long weekend and see other parts of Ireland.
They are very generous. I even had the opportunity to invite my boyfriend to come and see Ireland and they welcomed him straight into the family.
I really enjoyed my time with the family and always felt at home, which is why it was very hard for me to leave without a few tears.
I can only warmly recommend this family to everyone because they are simply fantastic.
Thanks to this wonderful family for the unforgettable time!Solo puedes ponerte en contacto con workawayers con membresías activas.

My best friend and I had the luck to join this wonderful family for a few weeks.
Our time with this family was just amazing. They are incredibly warm hearted and lovely and they treated us like family members from the first moment on. Nikki and Tom have three FANTASTIC children! They are angels, but the youngest is the boss. That was the first
… read more thing we learned ;-) And Rocco is the BEST and KINDEST dog in the whole world!! Nikki and Tom always gave us the feeling to be part of their family.
We lived there for 8 weeks and we had a awesome time. During our stay we helped Nikki and Tom a lot with their garden and painted nearly the whole house. But they never demand to much! We had a lot of free time, where we could do trips, walks or just spend time with the family.
We really enjoyed the time there and it was very hard for us to go, but we already planned to come back.
Thank you so much for the wonderful time we had with you!Solo puedes ponerte en contacto con workawayers con membresías activas.
