We are based in a 200 year old chapel, where the mountains of Snowdonia meet the sea. We are a co-living crew of artists, creatives and techies, we seek to be a mutually supportive network of people who want to have a positive impact on the world. We are a collaborative and creative community that benefits from sharing a wide range of skills and ideas.
Liam is the founder of the project, he has a background in science and technology, and spent several years travelling, and working in places like Japan, Chain and India. He has done a lot of the early renovation work on the building and manages the overall project. The number of resident's varies at different points in time. The number of volunteers we take also changes.
We are Regenerative place makers and art activist, looking to help make Snowdonia a more vibrant, cohesive place, with healthier communities that are more in touch with nature. This work is non-commercial, not-for-profit. We sometimes have guests visiting but we are not an accommodation business and we don't make money buy charging guests for visiting the project.
As an example of the kind of project we've done without any commercial element, is a video we made it's about soil and our local organic farm.
Different member of the community contributed different things, so some directed, some edited, some made the music. The total budget for the film was £0 and we gave it away on youtube because we want share and promote regenerative farming.
It's a music video for a song he wrote while staying with us.
We often need help with DIY Construction, Carpentry, Kitchen, Web development, CAD, Media, film making. Social media. Art. Music. Mostly we just like to learn and share skills.
Note July 22: At the moment we're doing some refit of the ship. A lot of residents left after the pandemic opened up, so it's a good time to do some refit. So we're particularly keen to have people who know DIY, esp Carpentry, and interior design. However, we always need help with task like cooking and cleaning.
We celebrate life and diversity. We a mixed multidisciplinary group almost anyone can find a way to fit in. If you want to visit us, the main thing is you want to help our mission to make the world a better place. If you didn't hear yet about the regenerative movement / paradigm look it up. This is what we are about. If it resonates and you have some time, drop us a line.

We value diversity and welcome people from all different backgrounds. We have had people from all over the world of all genders. We love the opportunity to learn and share languages and cultural practices.
We have an extensive network that people can connect with during and after their stay. This includes, but is not limited to, techies with a range of skills, a range of creatives and artists, musicians, healers and farmers. We believe that true purpose and not making money should not be the driver of creation and innovation.
Some of the tech topics we're interested in include blockchain, IoT, VR, Dev Ops (esp Nixos), web dev and robotics.
Currently we are not a formalised project. We have done Art projects in the local area, made documentaries, software and music projects and restored the chapel.
We have loads of film and videography ideas that we would love to bring to life, so anyone with interest in getting involved in this would be great.
There are loads of things happening here, so while you might come with the intention of filling a particular role, you certainly don't have to be restricted to doing only that. As mentioned above, we really want people who are keen to be a part of the community, which means cooking (if you can, we won't force you to if you really don't want to!), cleaning and having fun.

We have various single and double cabins. They are generally small and cosy to keep warm in colder months. The kitchen is our other warmest space, big enough to seat about 10 comfortably and more when necessary. All the meals we cook are vegetarian with a vegan option when needed and we get vegetables and eggs from a local organic farm.
We have office space on the top deck of the ship, that is also warm in the colder months and features the beautiful rose window. There is a communal room with a wood burner where we often relax when it's cold. We also have communal areas including the dojo in the main chapel and the projector-cinema set up, that are great places to hang out during warmer months.
The chapel is located on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park, 10 miles from Snowdon itself. It's an unbelievably beautiful area, with endless mountains, beaches and quarries to explore. It's the perfect place to be if you like hiking, climbing and wild swimming.
It's a short walk from the Chapel to a bus stop where you can easily get to Bangor, Caernarfon and Llanberis, although the buses don't always run in the evenings. We can probably pick you up if you arrive in the evening but make sure to check when the last bus is if you're out exploring in the evening.

We have a shared office space used by residents and also other working spaces and a good internet connection, so we are more than able to host digital nomads. We have a hackspace & workshop and a media sapce. If you are looking for somewhere to stay and work from home, feel free to reach out and we can discuss potential arrangements.
We have a private car park in front of the Chapel
We currently have a cat at the Chapel. If you have pets, we'd be very welcoming - just mention it when we have a chat and we can make sure it's suitable.
